Instead of cassava that takes about a year or 18 months, why not short duration crops like soya beans, groundnuts that take only 3 months? you can plant twice a year.
I have 8 acres in abeokuta beside river ogun ( 48 plots). I plan doing rain gun irrigation so that i can be farming all round the year without waiting for rain but the nature of my job is a big factor. I f you don't mind managing the farm and i offtake the crops.
