Since when is it okay for people to come on a thread to insult people who are minding their own business following their interests? It is just plain bullying & trolling. If you don't like people loving the military go and hug a transformer You will not succeed. We will continue to love the military. Go and create your own thread and let me help you with a name to attract the dregs "we hate Nigerian Military with all our might - duscuss". Bunch of frustrated ingrates. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Joint Security Forces in conjunction with local vigilantes dealt decisively on some armed bandits terrorising travelers along Kaduna - Abuja express road. This is commendable and it should be sustained with more aggressive fighting patrols on that busy highway. 10 Likes

Come to think of it, what if the bokoharam bastards had the sort of funding and weaponry the Nigerian army zombies have, it would have been a case of the Nigerian Army being wiped out off the face of the earth. Even with limited funding and weaponry, the bokoharam bastards are still killing the soldiers and rendering military families hopeless. I just look forward to more deaths on both sides. Evil and wicked both sides are. joshingjosh: 6 Likes |

I'm igbo, but I have a Muslim friend whose 2day old daughter was shot in the head by the Nigerian Army in Zaria, December, 2015. My friend was unlucky to be around the shiite guys, when the Nigerian Army descended on them, cos they blocked some Generals from accessing a highway. My friend developed mental issues. Please tell me, what sort of a human shoots a 2 day old baby in the head? Please tell me. The bullets went through her skull and came out the other side. This baby had no guns, she was just there. A new born. And in their bravery, they bursted this child's brain. Please someone tell me what sort of an individual does this? As if this wasn't enough, Lekki happened. NB: Even if they blocked the road, which I don't support, is a fatal massacre on them justified? Who points a gun at a 2 day old child? Tobiloba2407: 7 Likes |

Litmus: Nigeria should probably switch to exclusively buying there future aircraft from China and Russia because the Pakistanis & Americans took far to long to deliver you these J17s & Tucanos despite neither of these craft being all that top tier. Especially when they deliver much more advanced aircraft to other countries far faster It's clear they see you guys as low priority. 3 Likes |

ArabicBerber: JF-17 is a Chinese aircraft, Pakistan only runs an assembly line. The reason for the delay is because the Nigerian Air Force only recently paid for the aircraft. The Tucano deal was signed in late 2019, 6 aircrafts have already been produced. I really don't see the delays you're talking about. 6 Likes |

kabe1:The Nigerians ( NAF) as far as We can tell don’t see any delay Apart from just paying the final installment. They got the Block 2 version: Air to Air refueling capacity Better Radar Better Avionics. This issue will be discussed at length when the Planes land. We haven’t seen the 2021 Budget yet So We don’t know what the Defense procurements are likely to be for 2021. There is an understanding that regardless the 3JF17 will not be the last. Regardless Whatever happens if it is the JF-17 it will be the Block3 Version. 2 Likes |

LTGEN: Checked budget office website and it's not out yet and I doubt you can get it elsewhere if you can't get it on the budget office website. Talking about last year's budget, the president in his New year's speech said the capital project performance of the budget is 83%. Could this mean the defense ministry got virtually all they planned for? Maybe we should review the budget to see what we most likely ordered for. The president also said that the legislature allowed the 2020 budget to continue running till March 2021 so that the MDAs would get everything they budgeted for even though 2021 budget has been signed into law. |

Whyem15: Despite it being tough last fiscal year, the budget implementation has been the best of far, 100% on recurrent expenditure and debt servicing, and 83% on capital expenditures, the FIRS also over performed on revenue collection(the first time ever) it can only be better. It looks like the government's hesitation to subscribe to Euro bonds has paid off. Getting quick cash have been more favorable in the local market with FGN bonds and T-bills on an all-time low(near 0%). 1 Like |

No major procurements listed in the budget. We will have to wait for delivery or statements from service chiefs. |
