Very sensible post from an intelligent person. With just one post, you have knocked out the cursed useless vagabond called mktinsight. Good job cheesy

PROUDIGBO:

Dude, you're not making sense! Aside the fact you haven't gone out with a hard-hat, safety boots and a measuring tape to take down exact measurements, it stands to reason that a new airport like this should start off with a manageable sized terminal building so scarce funds could be targeted at other areas of the project necessary for the airport to function maximally and fulfill accepted global safety and operational standards.

If the terminal building would be busy to the extent you imply by your post, then it means the airport would be viable enough and able to self-fund the construction of a Terminal-2 within the next few years!

Nigeria, Africa is passing you by. This is Kakamega Town in western kenya the 10th largest town in Kenya. Not 1, 2, or 3 TENTH. Look at the roads and planning.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCXEJYb64DM

This is Kisumu, Western Kenya the THIRD largest city in Kenya. Again look at the planning. No dirty markets or 10x10 shops litering the sides of the roads. Parking lanes, pavements, trees, marked roads, no pot holes.

Dear Mktinsight,
Thank you for not responding to the huge insults on you by some people here who are filled with the quantum of hate I have never seen in my life. They must be carrying a big burden. This forum should be a place to exchange different ideas and not to fight. This is why I am very very afraid for the country Biafra whenever it comes. I doubt if Biafrans will tolerate each other. There will be too much bloodshed between illiterates and the educated, extremists and liberals, men and women. I really fear for this generation of Ndigbo

I can confidently bet that these 2 Kenyan towns you just highlighted have airports, the same airport you do not want in Anambra. You seem to want the best for Anambra but I believe development is a process. The next Anambra government may actually prioritize urban and city development ....since the govts of obi and obiano have sorted rural roads, airport , conference centers etc. The Anambra airport is not a bad idea at all in my view.

Nice post, Ore. This is what real urban planing should be at the minimum, yet we keep seeing dirty and unplanned streets and cities in Nigeria. I saw a thread about Orlu the other day and was disappointed on how filthy the roads were. Local and State governments need to rise up to the occasion of planning their cities...this is the 21st century, pls!

Mktinsight, I applaud your energy in debating complete idiots and presenting hard facts.
Unfortunately some of the people in this thread are precisely why we cannot develop, they are the ones that get handed a bag of rice and sell their souls. Seems they can't take simple criticism that points to a truth we all know, it's ridiculous.

There are many developments that could be done in Anambra, an airport is not the most important, nevertheless it is certainly not useless.

This is 2021 Aguleri Ofala festival.

Brief history of Ofala festival:

The Ofala Festival is an annual ceremony practiced by Igbo people, particularly the indigenes of Onitsha, Umueri, Umuoji and other neighboring communities such as Aguleri, Nnewi and Ukpo in Dunukofia Local Government Area.

It serves as a rites of renewal of the king or Igwe or Obi and it is similar to the Igue festival in Benin and the Ine, Osi or Ogbanigbe Festival in many mid-West Igbo communities of Nigeria. The term ofala, is derived from two Igbo words - ọfọ (English: authority) and ala (English: land).

The festival is celebrated within two days mostly in October by the Obi (English: king) and is a customary obligation that must be performed every couple of years without fail

To be honest, our standard as a nation has fallen abysmally low. Even by African standards that are known to be lowest in the world, it appears we are lagging behind too. Again, it's not due to lack of money but because of mediocrity and corruption. Rivers State and Akwa Ibom is far richer than that Kisumu but P.H or Uyo doesn't look as good or aesthetically pleasing. Another thing we don't do in Igboland is developing our cities to have CBD's instead government will leave everything to the private sector to do as they like. SMH.

Anambra deserves an airport but cursing others for airing their opinion doesn't make sense.

First off. Your frustration for quality is the same with many of us. Ignore that idiot! You see the reason why our place doesnt look like this or better is because of fools like that littered across our land. If we had more people thinking and talking like you then our place would look like that. Anambra needs an airport! We cant wait any longer. 2021 is the year for election. We are lucky. Now we have the chance to elect someone who will do all what we are saying. We need quality and not mediocre projects all over the place. No taste. All they know is sharing rice and small change to these hungry sychophants.

Why is it your headache even if people say that it will be the largest airport ? Why are you worried if people here say it will be the most modern in Africa? This is a clear case of witchcraft. Why in the world would you idiots be most concerned over what we say here.

You are not from Anambra, you have no connection whatsoever with Anambra but you hover around this thread like an evil spirit trying to get info over what we say here. Why not use the same time you waste here to focus on your hopeless life and your own state.

Anambra international airport is gonna be be the best and busiest in Nigeria. Now kee yasef if that will cure your bitterness and frustration over what we say here.
