Sometimes I feel like giving you a tight hug. This guy didn't even cheat him. Was he expecting to buy pounds from him using bank rate,NO way it was on the high side agreed but not robbery as people claimed Aprokodaughter: 1 Like |

It's not a myth, it's about deception (intentional or honest mistake). If an applicant "lies" that he/she has no relatives in the UK and UKVI finds out that the person actually lied, it counts as deception and non-disclosure of important information which automatically leads to a refusal. This is because it "might" imply that the applicant lied so as not to be seen as a high-risk applicant with no plans to return to Nigeria after the reason for the visa is concluded. It's better to declare that you've got relatives in the UK in the appropriate application section; also good to be sure about that their visa status is not in the negative. HYFR007: |

mimilyrics: You clearly do not understand my question. Let me rephrase it in clear terms; Why do some applicants that have relatives in the uk think/believe that their application would be refused if they declare their relatives. |

Your questions was "why is there a myth...?" which means that it's a widely held belief (by everyone, not just applicants). That's what I answered to but now that you've clarified the people segment that you intended to refer to, the answer is still in my previous comment. It might be as a result of the incorrect information touted by unscrupulous agents. Also, most applicants who feel so might feel that it might be seen as them having a support system/network in the UK which might encourage them to overstay their visas. That's my guess, I might be wrong though since I can't discern their inner thoughts and reasoning. HYFR007: |

Good evening everyone, I Will be applying for my Visa application this week, I have 2 passport one as expired but I have visas and stamp on it. Since I will be declaring my travel history, will I need to upload all the Visas/stamp and also join the old/new passport together for submission? I was refused UK visit visa last year March but when applying for the visa I stated that I was going for sightseeing and also buy stuff for my upcoming wedding in August that same year. (The wedding was canceled) Will I need a cover letter to explain the wedding palava or I should just click on SINGLE? |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by mimilyrics: 10:09pm On Jan 03, 2021 |
You don't need to submit your old passport along with your new passport, just uploading the visas and entry stamps is okay. You don't need to explain this in your cover letter since you didn't get married as intended, your status on your last application was single, and it hasn't changed. slimdolyin: |

HYFR007: When it comes to visa not just UK, there are many heresay stories that are passed down , some with no evidence. A lot of lies are passed as truth. ....... That why agents market is booming. They pass these lies, collect high money from applicant however once there is a problem the applicant is left to carry the cross /consequences I usually dont listen to heresay and tell people to always follow the official guidelines. That usually the source of truth especially in the UK and there no where it even implied that having a relatives is a negative thing ..... once you understand a PBS (point based system) , you realise there absolutely no need to lie ..... and with UK visa , if caught in a lie , it becomes very difficult to correct . A word is enough for the wise, tell the truth and follow the guideline 2 Likes |

Ezriela: As friends he should tell him what is obtainable. You don’t just discourage him from going to the bank cos of your own selfish interest. Your case is understandable, there was an agreement. May is quite far he should advice him to use the bank. |

@mimilyrics, @LagosismyHome & other experienced elders in the UK! Please, I need advise & suggestions as I don't want to make a mistake (Truthfully, I have some inputs already but needs to borrow more knowledge) .... I have a Half-Brother (same Father) we don't talk per say, I am not sure the City he is now but he was born in the UK, England precisely! Mom said he used to stay with us over 30 years ago while on Holidays in Nigeria. My question now is if to declare him in my Application or not. I wanna be very transparent in my Application but he has never acknowledged me as a Sibling, me too same, feeling is mutual, i'd say we are incommunicado & I don't even know the City he is now, we just don't talk.... Between, my Late Dad was also a British Citizen. What's your advise please? I would really anticipate & appreciate your inputs.... Thanks! |

You will need to get a dollar card or get someone with a dollar or pounds card to pay. There is forex limit on normal cards issued in Nigeria. Dramaqueen12345: |

Its actually disgusting when the so called guys sell pounds to friends and family at Black Market rate and accept official rate when they want to use transferwise to send money home. The truth is some people don't fear God ! Ezriela: 1 Like 1 Share |

This does not even make any utter sense at all. Most remittance services, before the cbn rule, always used closed to the black market rate. Why will anyone in its right senses use transferwise with official rate send money home when there are options giving more. I bet you are just making this up so we look bad! If you are however talking about sending from Naira to pounds using transferwise, to my knowledge (correct me if wrong) this does not exist whatsoever jflex: 1 Like |

Is anyone in the same school? I need help with accommodation and someone that can show me around when I arrive. Thank you. |
