It depends on what you want from the market....

You can plan to have the 3 stocks for continuous cash flow, so deliberate efforts to accumulate them over the years will be of help.

Some people bought
UCAP at 90k
APR at N3
Vitafoam at N3

They have not sold and still getting good dividends as cashflow and still sitting on good capital appreciation too.

Only two stocks lost today: FCMB and Caverton. shocked
Let me say in my layman's understanding that, SHOULD the bull run continues......fcmb offered discount today and will join the race soonest.
What happened to one of the MDs was personal and has nothing to do with the stock.........
We see how it goes.........

However, following the Federal Government’s announcement of a public holiday on the said
December 28, 2020, we are pleased to inform the shareholders that the qualification dates for
both bonuses are now being moved to the next working date being December 29, 2020 i.e. from
28 December 2020 to 29 December 2020.

I think one has to be very careful when dealing with AIICO shares.. The listed shares outstanding as at today is 20,673,265,406 units. As at Q3, the outstanding shares in the unaudited financial statements was 11,330,202,920 units. How this has grown to 20,673,265,406 units as at today is beyond me. Please note that the 2 bonuses of 1 for 8 and 1 for 5 is even yet to be effected. Please deal with the shares of the company with a lot of caution.

As at 2019 audited result

- O/S 11,330,204,480 (a)
- Rights issue based on 5 for 13 added 4,357,770,954 (b)
- 2020 YE 1 for 5 bonus issue (increase (a) by a factor of 1.2)
- 2020 Recapitalisation 1 for 5 bonus issue (increase (a) by a factor of 1.2)

(a*1.2*1.2) + b
(11,330,204,480*1.44) + 4,357,770,954
=20,673,265,405

However, the premise above has been superceded by the latest adjustment to the corporate actions. The bonuses were adjusted to 1 for 8 & 1 for 5, and the bonuses would apply to the rights as well.

Therefore, I believe the O/S will eventually be adjusted to
(11,330,204,480+4,357,770,954) *1.125*1.2
=21,178,766,835

From the above, it appears that the second bonus has been listed. However, I cannot recall any price adjustment for this.

I think now they have better management and their dept has been reduce over time. I foresee them paying better dividend to share holder in the coming years than previous years, I can't say much about bonus. Unfortunately, I have sold my stake with them and I find it difficult to enter again because of the current price.

The non performers had a good deal, after pocketing about N9 billion from the deal, got N1 billion dividend from UPDC REIT and they still own about 45% of UPDC.

After this sale they are still sure of a steady N400 million dividend from UPDC REIT per annum

Lol. grin
From the look of things so far, what's happening is more of retailers' activities......no heavy transactions so far........meaning this pullback might be short-lived..........all things being equal.
I may be wrong though.....but let's keep observing.....

Someone asked if he/she could buy during festive period but was told to wait till after.....
You could be watching out for this kind of pullbacks and be buying in tranches because nobody can predict Mr. Market movement .........and moreso that you're targeting Dividends..... I don't want anyone to mention me, that I didn't allow them to buy......
I no get strength for argument..... grin
