I went to make enquiries for an international passport today, long story short: 45k minimum

Funny enough, I did a search on google about it some hours ago. The thought of having one just dropped into my heart.

One can get it through the Nigeria immigration website. You print out the form, make a payment of #17,000 and submit to your nearest processing office. It shouldnt take more than two to three days, all things being equal.

You might end up making a mistake and loosing your money.

There are two kinds of e passport issued by NIS.
1.THE STANDARD ELECTRONIC PASSPORT
2 . THE ENHANCED ELECTRONIC PASSPORT.

THE enhanced e passport is an improved version of the standard e passport and is costlier.
At the moment it is only issued in Abuja, Lagos, Kano, and Rivers so if you are in any of the above stated states and you go ahead to pay 17k my brother you may consider your money lost though it can be refunded but you know how it is asking govt to refund your money.
But if you are in other states I did not mention go ahead and pay the 17k for now.
Though both payment platforms are different.

We have 32 page 5yr validity passport
64 page 5yr validity passport
and 10yrs validity passport

Last last the only use of that green PoS is to get a visa and leave

Official price is 28k for 32 pages 5 yes validity. If you wanna cut corners and get yours in 24hrs, you would have to cough out 40 and above.

Oh, I see! I just got to know that there is 5 years 64 page passport. That's for frequent travellers.
Sure, I got the one with 10 years validity. It's like a treasure to me, at least I know I won't bother about passport renewal till 2030.

I just got mine, it’s N35,000 but mine was a renewal.

For new passport, you need birth certificate with government logo from government hospital or health center, certificate of local government of origin, NIN and one passport photograph with any background (I’d advice you have with red,blue and white just incase)

You’ll get your passport same day if there’s no too much people that day or within a week

there's an official price around 14k or so but then it'll take ages for the p.port to be processed.

And there's a backdoor option called instant passport. that one na like 30 something then don't know about now. You pay the bribe and they run it for and capture your pic same day.

You can either be a good Nigerian and go the first route or you be a better Nigerian and use the 2nd option.
