I did min for 37k last year December at lokoja office. Though i paid the officer that stood in as guarantor for me 2k. It was 35k actually according to them. But i got it same day with VIP treatment. grin

U need 2 recent passports, date of birth or affidavit and local government id certificate.

That's supposed to be complicated, maybe even impossible. But I had someone with a similar issue and we visited NIS just to satisfy curiousity. To my surprise, we met a connect there who is a mid-level immigration officer. He said all that's required is sworn court affidavit and 150k. This was like in 2017 ooo... But I still have his number cos I linked my sister who got married and changed her names. He actually did it for her in one day. Walking away from there, I was heavily under the impression that even without court affidavit, they'll be happier cos it'll be an excuse to charge more.
Bottom line: Nothing is impossible in this jungle called Nigeria. Just have the money and they'll change your complexion too on your passport!

Sometimes we encourage corruption in this country. On the Immigration website, the cost of applying for international passport is 25k and we know this but some of us will still go there and break the bank. We no longer believe in standing our ground to demand for what is right.

You see people paying as high as 50k for the international passport. Smh

Called the officer this morning and he is saying rubbish.. That my NIN hasn't drop or something.

Truth is if you paid the normal, na on a long train you dey especially if you need it urgently.

You have a point bro. But if you look at the civil service in Nigeria, it is the most corrupt organization any where in the planet.

People feel they must be bribed before they can do the job they're employed to do.

No hope in sight tho.

there's an official price around 14k or so but then it'll take ages for the p.port to be processed.

And there's a backdoor option called instant passport. that one na like 30 something then don't know about now. You pay the bribe and they run it for and capture your pic same day.

You can either be a good Nigerian and go the first route or you be a better Nigerian and use the 2nd option.

You go sha need like utility bill receipts I think

I did one Around August I spent about 80k for this new approve electronic passport

Back door is 27k in uyo.. No stress, no queue, you get it after 7 working days.. I did mine last month.. I no dey japa na my work need am..
