DNA paternity tests conducted by a reputable clinic are 99.9% accurate.
And, no, there are no better ways to determine paternity.

And for your information, before any machine goes into commercial use, There are stringent organizations that has done thorough scrutiny and confirm that it had attend at least 97% accuracy.
