Abia your state is the worst and most backward state in Nigeria, you should be more concerned about your cursed state.

Well let them develop the oil and gas first before we chase them away.... because developing gas is capital intensive.

Which Nigerian army is in IMO state and even if it were you are aware that the Nigerian army has soldiers based in all states of the federation whether they are active is the question and they are no actively doing anything but I do agree with the fulani fundraisers and leaders placing in uzodinma

I wonder oh.
I'm I seeing right? Some people are judging our progress to why theirs is not working.
So according to them, their airports should be saturated with patrons from our state before we get a "go ahead" from them to build ours forgetting that we are Ndị Anambra and we don't take order from anybody nor become benefactors of another.
Infact we should have launched two Airports instead of one

My question now is this, Since Anambra state doesn't deserve to have an airport because we have airport less than 10mins drive\10miles to us,
What should we do to the one we are building now?
Should we abandon it or Demolish it or what?? Pls tell me

Plant grass in d open field and rent it out to fulani boys 4 grazing. So that Bubu can give us a pat on d back 4 a job well done and dash us fre-si-den-zy.

I do not know your background but a modern rail system is far more expensive to build than an airport.............. if we can keep the corruption associated with construction projects to a minimum, 10 billion naira should deliver a decent airport we can all be proud of. Please do not forget that the foremost airline operator in the country is from this state and we should give him the support and base to do greater exploits. The airport business model is really not the money-spinner we imagine it to be, most airports in the world are heavily subsidized by governments. I think Anambra deserves an airport of its own. In the unstable geopolitical environment, we have in Nigeria, it will amount to ethnic suicide not to have several airports within alaigbo especially as we are not too close to the ocean...........these airports may become lifelines in a serious conflict.......this issue is not just about naira and kobo o.

Wisdom packed!

There’s no need to chase any legitimate business from anywhere....so long as everything is done fairly, and everyone gets acceptable recompense for the exploitation of their God-given assets! Ndigbo should not be cheated just because they’re in ‘one Nigeria’, and this is my point! How can you find billions of dollars for a AKK gas pipeline to ferry gas from Alaigbo to industrial estates in the north, when the south-east region that produces the gas is yet to get any gas masterplan for its industrial centres and cities!? Same thing they’re doing with airport terminals...same thing they’re doing with railway projects! They see Igbos and their region as ‘2nd class’...who have to wait in line until after the ‘first class’ region and their southern cheerleaders have gotten theirs first! Latter someone will as me why i get angry with ‘one Nigeria’ and support Mazi Kanu! Igbos just hate injustice and being taken for a ride!

sometimes. I don't know what is wrong with some of us (igbos) am from Abia, but that airport going on at Anambra gives me joy.
If it was the SW states that are building airports and flyovers allover their states, our people would rain unimaginable insults on their governor's. Now that something of this nature is happening to Anambra and some other SE states, some of our brothers almost seem bitter about it. Even the redesigned terminal building is very okay!!! when it stabilizes economically, we can always build a grander one. Should we because the Chinese left, forget the airport project ? how can some peeps claim that a state among the top 5 industrialised states in the country doesn't deserve an airport ? because a neighboring state has one. During the inter-state lockdown, was anyone one from Anambra able to access those neighbouring airports at leisure ?

Anambra should aim to build bus terminals epecially in major cities to grow revenue and to organize mass transit.

Look at what Rwanda is doing with its City Bus Terminal:

Or Tanzania's massie Luis Mbezi Bus Terminal

Step by step...Rome wasn't built in a day.

If d world doesnt come 2 an end any time soon.. Anambra will build bus terminals, good roads, healthcare facilities, infastructures..level up our state capital..construct an artificial beach(it's not impossible,,these business men and women need a cool relaxation spot after d toiling day in day out).

Willie is trying but more should be done in earnest!

Mktinsight owns that Twitter handle. It is okay, but we should not pay further attention to bitter wicked people. Whatever his reasons are for opposing development in Anambra state (especially the international airport), he will fail. I do wish him to remain alive to see the airport. Perhaps someday, he will fly through it and attempt to destroy public infrastructure there out of hate, then he will be finally arrested.

I do think he is Igbo, but those types of Igbos that consider only their hometown as Igboland. In their mind, something outside his hometown or in another state makes him furiously jealous.
