Dear Nairalanders,

I commend you all for the selfless contributions you have been making.

I really need your insight on this

I submitted an application for a standard visitors Visa to visit my brother in London on the 1st of December (my 2nd application after the first since 2018) my application went normal and received messages as my application progresses but I didn't receive any refusal email and when my passport was ready for collection on the 30th of December. I wasn't issued any Visa and there was no refusal note included too ,up until now I still haven't received the reason for my refusal via email.

Please can kindly advise me on how to request for the reason for refusal or is there still any chance that I will get in on my mail.

Thanks.

Sometimes, it takes a while to receive a refusal mail. You can mail them to ask about it.

The same thing happened to somewhere here. I remember the person sent an email to UKVI then, their response was something like they withdrew his application or so.

This is Part4 of the UK visiting/tourist visa thread

Part 3 is here https://www.nairaland.com/2655931/general-uk-visa-enquiries-part

Good luck

Hello justwise, hello everyone
Please can you give me some insight on my situation
I applied for a standard visit visa on the 5th of December
Went for biometrics in Abuja on the 11th
Received by DMC on the 15th
No mail from them till today- day 17th workinday day
Called ukvi today and I was told no decision has been made yet and the case would be escalated, I would have to wait another 15 days.

Any idea what could be going on? I know someone that did biometrics with me on the same day same venue that has received his visa,
Should I be worried
I had planned to travel by the end of this month

Hello everyone,

Good morning, please a quick question: someone has Ebuka in his school credentials but has chukwuebuka in his international passport, please, what advise would you give to him since he's planning on migrating through study visa?

Thank you.

Yes you do. However, the funds doesn’t have to be much.

A transit visa is for only 48hours or so in the UK. For more credibility, You could include more evidence/supporting documents such as the visa and tickets to your final destination.

Thanks for the response. The country of destination is visa free. Is there anything else to prove that's my final destination or will the proof of funds and flight tickets be enough? And do i have to book an hotel in the UK since my layover is a long on (about 18hours)

Hello guys
I applied for a study permit on 21st December 2020, Priority Visa , i woke up to this email today , please Gurus in the house , what could it possibly mean ? My thoughts are tending towards Covid outbreak which is limiting them from performing their usual activities and also is it advisable to contact UKVI to understand better what the email is about and how soon decision would be made

In my opinion, that might be a red flag o (going to a visa free country and stopping in the UK) but you can try it. Try to make your application airtight by submitting all supporting documents. Including hotel bookings for the UK and your final destination, return tickets, POF etc.

Best of luck !!!!

Good morning, pls have you heard from them Today made mine 27 working days
Ivymich:

Do u have access to the email address he used and his details such as GWF number etc? If you do, there’s no harm asking questions.
Keep the agent part out as I dnt think it is necessary. State your/his case and ask for any information you want as this has well passed standard timelines of 15 working days.
Yes u can use ur card details to pay.

Ok. Thanks I have access to the email and all info. Thanks for your prompt response

Ebuka and Chukwuebuka are two different names. Go with the name on your credentials. Do name correction on your passport so you can use the name on your credentials
