Goodevening, I have been a silent reader. I went to the bank to request for my bank statement and I was told the bank will upload it on the UK visa platform and I will be given a slip to upload on TLS site. I just want to confirm this position or should I collect the hard copy statement? |

My agent submitted my application without indicating that I'm married with kids. Visa was granted but I could not make the journey due to Covi-19. Please, how do I change this status? |

I am looking for a two bedroom apartment in newcastle (anywhere close to the city Centre ) , anywhere good for a family , and the landlord should be willing to rent out the house to a student . |

Doskimama: Which bank is that? Please don't accept it oo. It happened to someone I know very well and they claimed they didn't see his financial evidence in all the submitted document . Thanks. |

Shakiratemma: Right, I am currently living in the UK and as a Government Worker I can certainly tell you we are very calculative and meticulous when it comes to analyzing applications. Of course there is the question of what is the geographical relationship between the visa free country you intend traveling to and the United Kingdom. Is the visa free country located anywer within Europe? On the other hand 18 hours layover to me is so little because you have not taken times into consideration. 18 hours minus say 2 hours you'll spend clearing customs Then give or take another 3 hours assuming you wer to leave the airport premises. Now let's also take for instance you fly into Gatwick, the distance from Gatwick N & S terminals + getting to the so called hotel you've booked and then another say 3 hours commute going back to the airport for instance because remember you need to check in at the least 2 hours before your flight so all these put together I believe does not afford you any tangible time to be transitting because you won't have that much time at the least. So in my own opinion the funds and the flight tickets are the least of your problems because there are so many other boxes and questions that seem unclear and unanswered and these will result in an instant refusal. 3 Likes |

Octavia1220: Thank you for your input. I didn't consider all that you have mentioned as this my 1st time flying. The visa free country I'm going to is not in Europe. The airline I'm using is the one making a stop in the UK. Also, I don't have a valid way to prove I'm entering a visa free country as they don't issue any form of visa. Would it be better if I had a travel agent book the flight and arrange for some activities over there to prove that I'm only going there to tour the country?? Please I also heard that once you enter the UK, you have to quarantine. Does that apply to me as well and does the UK airport have a hotel airport to stay so it won't be necessary for me to apply for a transit visa? |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Octavia1220: 12:02pm On Jan 09, 2021 |
giselle237: My thoughts exactly. We are currently on another lockdown phase. So I would highly suggest seek another flight that is direct to your destination to save all this long text. Just by mere analyzing what you've said your visa free country of destination has no correlation with the UK therefore look for another flight that does not have layover in another country and save yourself all this stress. |

Workingmama:Contact them if u want to hear from them. U have done so. They asked u to wait so u can only do that. 15 working days is what they hope to achieve for most applications however they fall short in some and urs seems to be so. Kindly wait. At least the extra 15 working days they said. 1 Like |

Shakiratemma:If ur going to the Caribbean then u can also try the option of going through Jamaica. There is a chartered flight going from Lagos to Monteg Bay in March. U would need to get a transit visa for Jamaica and that's not hard to get. |

Good evening to you all, I applied for a Tourist Visa on Dec 9th, I tracked it yesterday and it's available for pickup. I didn't or haven't received any email prior to any decision made on it. Do they still send emails in regards to one's application? |

Good morning, pls have they resolved this? in a similar situation.sent you a message. quote author=tushqueen post=97602945]Our visa were picked up today for my spouse and 2 kids. One of these has issues which we feel should be corrected. The mistake was that one of my compound names (surname) was omitted. Say 'Compound-Name' written correctly for spouse and first kid but written as 'Name' for my last baby. Do you think this should pose as an issue while traveling? We complained at the point of collection, so we were asked to make a copy and leave the visa behind for corrections. Has anyone experienced this or something similar? When are we likely to get it corrected as this is delaying our flight bookings Remember the message above? I'm angry and bitter right now. We have checked for my daughters passport at the TLS office for collection twice now with no success. We keep receiving mails to come pick up the passport as they don't keep once granted. Each time we go, we get nothing tangible as response, the official just keeps saying it's not ready /yet sent to them. It's been over 17days now since we applied for correction as mentioned below. Please does anyone know how to resolve this. They need the visa to travel as soon as possible as this is delaying booking of flight. The visas ware ready and granted since 16th but hers has been delaying flight bookings because of the mistake they made regarding her dependant's surname[/quote] |

Hello house Please Help!!!!!! Help!!!!!!!! I have been a silent reader following this Tread but really want to make enquiries regarding Uk tourist visa base on account statement issue. I live and work in UAE and am on salary payroll which i intend to use as means of Fund on my UK application but my question here is am been paid via salary wallet card which isn't standard acct, i just withdraw and send back home to my naija acct leaving little cash there up to 50-60k equivalent to naira there for expenses, which i maintain 200k deposit every month via my naija acct which serves as my monthly salary. So here's my question. 1: can i just apply with such acct? Which no outflow only inflow of cash, Reason is i have salary card here which cash for monthly expenses is. and i have monthly payslip of 300k equivalent to naira 2: will such acct statements above be accepted with my payslip backing it up. Will greatly appreciate if someone enlighten me on this Thanks |
