@Poster, go to your bank and write for charge-back.... merchant will be notified, by merchant bank or company....the merchant will be requested to provide details of the customer that did the withdrawal. Or alternatively, you can send a mail to Paystack with details of the transaction including date, amount and screenshot or statement of account, they will reply you and as well contact the POS agent. Its very easy to trace POS transactions because company who provides POS services are doing their very best in protecting customers interest. Regards.

Point to where I said POS agents are thieves.

Na guilty conscience dey worry una...

Same way we have bankers stealing customers' funds in the banking system is the same way we have POS agents stealing funds from customers secretly.

The above statement doesn't mean ALL POS agents or BANKERS are bad. There are always bad eggs in the system.

For you to be this pained about my stand on using USSD, you must be one of the bad eggs who needs to be checked.

Nobody has the monopoly to scams.

we know your type, you are a quick teller scammer and that is why you are promoting USSD that agents have rejected. market don cast for you. thief.

I gave you insights why POS agents don't usually accepts transfer transactions. It has landed so many of them in trouble. Many have paid what for money they didn't steal.

The Nigerian system dont really protect POS agents on transfer transactions so long the money was transferred to an account. Even businessmen have fallen victim of the ussd/app transfer transactions.

Now, for your question above; they can make reports. And your reply does not correlate with what I said earlier.

true talk my bro. those senseless people who are not doing POS business will not understand the risk in accepting USSD transfer. if you cannot use you ATM abeg park well

Re: PHOTOS : How Do I Track A Fraudulent POS Transaction? by Yankee101: 12:19pm On Jan 09, 2021
1. Cancel the card
2. Ask the bank who the recipient of the transfer is, they can tell you which bank account it went to
3. Follow up with a court order in the bank it went to. They'll freeze the account and investigate the BVN owner

But likely the scanner will use another person's account, collect the cash and disappear

Hold the bvn owner to produce the cash recipient

Use 2 accounts at the minimum in nigeria.

Your major savings should have no debit card.

Do online transfer with a token, to your second account in small amounts of money you wish to withdraw via ATM debit card

Using ATM Card at POS terminals puts you at risks.

Try as much as possible to make USSD transfer to the POS agent account when you need to transact.

You need to run away from any POS agent who refuses to receive transfer from you.

No let dem run you street.

Bro your assertion is very very wrong. A POS withdrawal needs :
1. The customer's card before a transaction is made.
So is any Pos operator in possession of his wife's card?
2. The customer's pin before a withdrawal is made. So how come any pos operator knows his wife's pin?

I can bet it with my last kobo that no pos operator took his wife's Money. They should rather look inward within their family members

There's the name of the POS agent in that receipt. Why not search for that agent and then arrest him using Civil defense corps.

Usually its eve EFCC that people report to, and they work like wonders!

But be careful you don't implicate the wrong person.
Meanwhile, have you filled complaint forms at the bank a d follow up with the EFCC?

You will surely recover your money, don't worry. Eventually na you go dey tell people how to recover fraudulently stolen monies.
Shallom!

Just like that Arrest him
I pray your type don't rule this country ooo. Man go suffer

They have cloned her atm card.

The usual suspect will be the POS agent that she frequents more.

Get the person and the truth will reveal itself.

The bank can help too with the location(I think).

Good luck.

On the 6th of January, the sum of Twenty Five Thousand (25000) Naira was fraudulently withdrawn from my wife's Stanbic ibtc Bank Account. What baffles me was she didn't get alert for the transactions till even as i types this. She found out her money was missing when she bought airtime directly from her account.

We went to the bank to get statements of her account put realised her ATM CARD was used on the POS centre and machine below in the picture.

Please, how do we track this transaction?
Thanks

Yen yen yen. The same way you're painting us black is how God will paint you black. There's no doubt there are are evil people every where trying to sabotage the good one's image. But doesn't mean you should generalise it. How has the withdrawal affected the POS merchant? He came to their house to steal the card abi? Everyone is trying to avoid problem so even if come to me make withdrawal by transferring to me, don't you know I am also at risk? How do I believe the account is even yours?

It is easy, if someone wants to transfer to you. Request for the persons ID and check that the senders name on the alert u received is same as the name on the ID. I was shocked when a POS agent told me he doesn’t want transfer despite showing him my ID Nd showing my bank app name Nd saying I will wait for him to confirm the alert so he can cross check the name. I had my atm with me but I japa

Just go to STANBIC BANK and lodge a POS dispense error form. Fill in the details; the merchant name, tranx date, tranx amount. So far no response come from the owner of the POS, the amount will be reversed. That is if koney is still in that account.
