Is there any website, or office where someone could get a legitimate information regarding real estate before taking a leap??

It is sad that most of these "office people " in government do collaborate with bad guys to do this evil. Just wondering if there are still decent avenue for someone to source information before getting involved in a real estate transaction in Lagos.

In the west, it's all there in the county/council assessor/recorders office.

Who did this to us in Nigeria, Africa, government officials always backwards, gearing to cheat and deceive the people. No wonder so many people aren't proud to be Nigerians or African.

I am seeing different prices for aluminum step tiles.

Some are saying 1,300 for 0.45mm


Another is saying 2,400 for 0.45mm


Is it that there are different measurements

What is the type of Soil you are building on, (Swampy, Loamy/Soft, Valley, Hard Ground) to justify 35 Trips of Filling?

- Are you using Laterite to Fill or Sharp Sand? (Sharp Sand is better in a Wet area/ground) and what tonnage is he quoting for that Price?
- If you are buying as much as 150Bags of Cement, why cant you Order it directly from the Manufacturers like Dangote, you will get it at around #2,800 plus or minus. That Price of #3,300 is December Price.

- For Planks, talk to @MountMoriah guy on this thread, he will supply you and you can pay on delivery.

I decided to suspend my 3bedroom(I earlier brought the plan here for criticisms) and start with the 2bedroom bungalow/1bedroom BQ, attached is the floor plan and the type of roof I plan to do.

The ground is a solid one and since I dont intend to do a high pitched roof or parapet, do I need to introduce pillars?

No matter what you are building, always introduce Pillars, at least at the edges and tie them with the Lintel.
You never can say what will be building next to you in future, or maybe a natural Earth Tremor/Vibration or even blasting for road construction or Mining, Pillars will help keep your building standing.
Please use Pillars, the extra Cost will give you Peace of Mind.

And Yes, Ventilation is Poor, in most areas. Kitchen, Dinning, Living Room, etc

I was expecting that it is those that sold land to her, that would know exactly how or what went wrong that the New Owners have a better Title than someone they sold to, five years earlier.

I suspect that the those who sold to her dont have Valid title or did not perfect their Title before the New Owners took advantage and now she is left in limbo.
Ratification with LASG might not be her real Solution, it may lie in negotiating a "Land Ratification Amount" with the New owners.

Engr dam4sam, I built a bungalow without pillars at a location close to where Lafarge blasts limestone every 2 days. It’s almost 9 years now and there are no signs of visible cracks. Am I taking unnecessary risk?

My foundation though can conveniently support 3 floors. It’s 1.2m deep but no pillars and 9in sandcrete blocks were used.

Amateurs do wireless. Pros do wired network for security, wider coverage (my single link can run more than 300ft without signal loss) and the reliability that PoE offers.

I considered wireless but I’ll have to deal with running cable for power.

I eventually sucked it up and learnt the color scheme. I need to also do the crimping on the ground instead of perched up on the ladder.

Baba, na fact be that! As a network security expert, we pro-wired network installers understand that a camera is a security device and not GOTV so its installation shouldn’t be handled carelessly.

3 bottles is even too small for one camera. A lot of work goes into this na.

1. Networking Planning = 1 bottle
2. Establishing the Cable Route/Installation = 1 bottle
