peeps4u: Nothing to teach from my side boss, business is the way it is right now... When some were saying Uber is better than Indriver, not knowing a surge of 1.5 can never be match to Indriver. I can't even imagine driving on Uber without surge, feels like complete suffer head. Now that more drivers are shifting to Indriver after enjoying bonus, surge and with the drag the business is observing right now, nothing new or strange so far... Yesterday I did some tin regretable, a trip from 700m beep my phone, 4250 from Kusenla going to Ajayi road ogba, tot of giving him my price flash my mind, so I gave him 4500. I lost the trip to the lion clan and it took me 2 hours to get another trip of 25000. What am I saying? 10 drivers are dragging One trip, and your best bet is luck or position, cos riders tend to pick the closet person via time to arrive and distance, then follow by your rating. Another thing which I have once said here, Indriver's don't sleep or take their phones off the app page, you have to be staring at your phone 24/7, it's about the fastest finger and perish the idea of giving you price, e get why. Hope dis help 1 Like |

Otunbalai:Is your check engine light on, a lot of things can cause high fuel consumption. Fill your fuel tank, reset the trip meter drive till you get to reserve let's know how many miles you get per gallon. |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Pearl1910: 2:39pm On Jan 09, 2021 |
Otunbalai: Very high o. Hope it is 4plugs and not a V6 engine. Cos 4plugs Big daddy counterparts make at least (minimum) 3k on every 1k fuel. Scan ur car even if there is no check engine light on. Also check ur driving pattern, don't speed too much, don't accelerate sharply. 80km/h max speed no matter how free d road is. Make sure all your tyres are properly guaged. Don't drive around too much looking for trips (dead driving). Good luck 3 Likes |

I use camry 03 too and my fuel consumption was the same as yours until i did a few tinx. 1. Check for engine light and scan to know the problem but if no engine light then 2. Clean or change air filter 3. Change ur plugs to iridium plugs 4. Check ur coil and change bad once. 5. Ensure ur tires are well guaged. Now i use 3k for 11k or more and take note also of I don’t dead drive I don’t drive beyond 80km/h I don’t use ac wen no rider is with me I don’t brake abruptly wen driving I don’t accelerate fast wen the traffic light turns green. Lastly don’t allow ur fuel enter reserve Peace. 7 Likes |

Pearl1910: Nothing to move here, we r just sharing tots. The last time I checked, the engine is 400k, let's think d eventual where his enemy have to change engine... 400k for engine, 18k for oil, 20k for mech, logistics may consume 10k, that is 450k. Boss this is business, learn to cut cost and maximise profit, if you want to break even. Last month, I learnt someone I know bought a toks camry from US (1.5 plus clearance), after clearing and time to zoom, car refused to start. In nutshell, he is face with changing the engine, they toll the car from port. So u see why car matter is relative to me. 2 Likes |

OJURONGBE1:please loud it. When I tell people about ford in Nigeria they turn it into something else. Even in america, the people who buy ford, it is not their first choice unless it's the larger Fords. |

Otunbalai: 10k net or 10k gross. If it's 10k net ( after commission) I don't think that's high for a camry. If it was a regular corrolla, then surely that is too much consumption. |

I have been awol for a while and catching up. It amuses me when you guys consider the cost of an engine when purchasing cars. No one worries about that here because it's not often an engine gets changed. It's only in Nigeria I've seen engine become part of routinely changed part. PROPER MAINTENANCE WITH RIGHT FLUIDS AND YOU SHOULD REALLY GET 250-400K MILES OUT OF YOUR ENGINE DEPENDING ON THE BRAND. Even with conventional oil. We don't all put synthetic in cars overseas. Nigerians are always changing engine because of penny wise pound foolish mentality. There only things to consider when buying a car for me are purpose of use, reliability, gas consumption, and comfort for purpose of use. I guarantee if you buy a car, let me do the initial inspection and routine maintenance, you will get 300k or more out of your engine and transmission no shaking. In about 30 years I have only had to change an engine once and that was because of bad oil. Also in 30 years the only major repair I have had is changing an ac compressor once and two oxygen sensor once. I have never changed anything else on a car except for brake pads. I tire for Nigerians. 11 Likes |
