Amateurs do wireless. Pros do wired network for security, wider coverage (my single link can run more than 300ft without signal loss) and the reliability that PoE offers.

Apart from the effort required, the cost of tools required, the time required(which is money, if you are engaging labour), the exposure of wired Camera to the risk of tampering (Criminals first target is to cut the Data Signal CAT 6 Cable to the Camera and your Camera becomes a decoration), Portability or the ease of moving your Camera from point to point, is also a great advantage of Wireless Camera.

There are also multiple points of failure in a Wired Camera, especially around the RJ45 Crimp point, Heat can also deform the Cable over time, breakage is possible over time, etc.
All these are avoidable with Wireless Camera and with robust Security techniques, your signals are encrypted end to end so that snoopers can curse their bad luck.
Since your Smart Phones use Bluetooth, Wifi and other wireless technologies and they are safe enough for you to use it, why would you think a wireless Camera is less Safe?

Engr dam4sam, I built a bungalow without pillars at a location close to where Lafarge blasts limestone every 2 days. It’s almost 9 years now and there are no signs of visible cracks. Am I taking unnecessary risk?

My foundation though can conveniently support 3 floors. It’s 1.2m deep but no pillars and 9in sandcrete blocks were used.

I see little misunderstanding here . Let me clarify. The people i hv my land with , still retains part of the land of which my own land falls into while the other family hv taken over the other side of the land after LGSC took charge of the matter . I did my survey then but couldn't lodge it cos of this pending issue . Recently both families and LGSC hv settled and land documents perfection is ongoing ,i was told that after the get relevant document from LGSC, that i will do deed of rectification by myself and lodge my survey. Hence i asked for further clarification from the house , to understand much better ,the process and if possible the cost attached to it.

Note : these settlements has attracted new estate to start showing interest in that location.Already 3 eatate hv taken position and advertising Governor consent which i doubt they hv gotten as my land seller sold it to them recently and he has not gotten his own documents so how can estate whom he sold to advertise better title.

Thank you for this post, l was shocked too, on reading the original Poster.
I was expecting that it is those that sold land to her, that would know exactly how or what went wrong that the New Owners have a better Title than someone they sold to, five years earlier.

I suspect that the those who sold to her dont have Valid title or did not perfect their Title before the New Owners took advantage and now she is left in limbo.
Ratification with LASG might not be her real Solution, it may lie in negotiating a "Land Ratification Amount" with the New owners.

I just recently installed a couple of this. It’s from Sony IPELA family.

It’s not internet packaging. I actually attach a picture of the camera on one of the gate I showcase here few months back to give you ideas.

That’s the beauty of POE devices. The single CAT6 cable carries audio, video and power. One cable.

My house is 80 feet by 50 feet, I’ll never have any run over 90 feet at most.

I ratified my current place of build this December. I didnt find it funny paying 1.1m for it and this particular one is company owned land .I wouldn't like to battle it out with Omonile or Lagos state

Before you buy any property, get professionals involved.

1. A seasoned Estate Surveyor and Valuer(not road side agent or Baba Iyabo Caretaker)

2. A legal practitioner

3. A registered land surveyor (not someone who can use the theodolite that claims to be a Surveyor, but someone registered with NIS)

It saves time and money

That's Andron Homes, or Revolution Plus or Happy Homes property company advertised land to you, doesn't mean the land would have perfect title without encumbrance. Some may have clean titles, but some may not
