Tre20: You've a great deal of work to do in your application, most especially when establishing strong ties with your home country. Given that your entire family (parents and siblings) are resident of an European Country, you're better off showing that you've immovable assets in your name with valuation report, as well as briefly discuss about your plans of getting married to your fiancee immediately after the completion of your studies. Attach relevant documents like engagement photos etc. Your future career prospects and goals after studies would also be a strong point to bank upon as motivation to depart from Canada. adeniyi3971: Fantastic!, you can make the explanation more elaborate by explaining to the immigration authorities how you garnered experience during your work with the food company while participating in the compulsory NYSC which stimulated your interest to further your post graduate studies in Food Technology. You can also mention some of the challenges you've experienced first-hand in the food industry in Nigeria which you have ardent desire to improve upon your return to Nigeria. I believe this makes sense. All the best with your NYSC program. It will end in praise 1 Like |

tracy0803409: I will advise against applying with your husband and son. Why not you apply alone and your family stands as your family ties , upon approval, you can apply for a spousal work permit for your husband that includes your son |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Frankrobbn1: 12:57am On Jan 10, 2021 |
tracy0803409: tracy0803409: First and foremost, i would like to congratulate you on your acceptance into a designated learning institution in Canada. Secondly, there are lots of drawbacks associated with applying with your entire family as most often, visa officers have this notion that such applicant is using study permit as a means to relocate with the family to Canada rather than educational advancement. In view of this submission, I will prefer you apply alone and upon the successful assessment (approval) of your application, you can apply for your child and spouse to accompany you to Canada. With this info on file, it will be much more easier to convince the visa officer that you're a bonafide student and would return to your family (spouse and kid) after studies. On second thought, if you're financially buoyant crowned with adequate ties (landed properties, buildings, investments in the bank etc), you can apply with your family. I can hardly count the number of successful applicants I know who filed for a family application and were approved of their visas. Conclusively, i will advice you utilize the NSE program when applying for your visa. It will end in praise |

mcobex: My brother, I couldn't even finish responding to the concerns of applicants outside of the thread before i went for the holiday break. As I'm talking to you, you can't believe that i have over 100 emails to respond to . Please let's try to ask our questions here and in my absence other fellow capable group members can give their contributions and others would learn from it. Sending DM's most times, keeps me off the thread as I'm battling with attending to everyone's request. Thank you all for your understanding as we continue to assist you with your immigration matters. Amycanada: I will guide you through your immigration journey to Canada and with grace being by your side you will be successful. However, my professional advice for you is to seek admission at University of Regina than an undergraduate diploma at College of the North Atlantic, Newfoundland and Labrador. My reason being that your chances of approval success is very slim with the aforementioned College. I want to believe its because the school is cheap, hence you selected it as your preferred option. On the other hand, I'm giving you my own personal advice to ignore applying for your visa with the school. When you've successfully gained admission for a direct program at University of Regina, come back here for assistance and I'll gladly put you in the right direction. It will end in praise. 1 Like |

angels1: Well, i have given a detailed breakdown of the documents needed to establish proof of relationship for married couples. For immigration purposes, pictures go a long to strengthen other supporting documents. Sometimes you can't tell what the immigration officer would be looking out for, so if there is photos it doesn't cost her anything to include it with her application. It will end in praise 1 Like |

davo99: What you're saying on your CIC account is completely "Normal". When an application has been approved by IRCC, the profile of the applicant will still be reading "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements". Nonetheless, upon the receipt of the counterfoil with the duration of your visa on your profile, the eligibility review and background check will be updated as completed with it's respective processing dates. Watch out for the above changes soon! It will end in praise 3 Likes |

Skilad54: There is no stipulated time frame a spouse open work permit takes for finalization. The recent approvals from my end takes about 4 months. Though, there are other applicants whose spouse applications are taking longer than expected (1year) and yet there seems to be no update from IRCC. Above all, it actually depends on applicant's case and how easily IRCC can verify information. It will end in praise |

bale98: Generally, for the SOWP your spouse needs to write an SOP while you provide a letter of explanation (LOE). You can use this medium to provide any explanation whatsoever that would be helpful in your application while sighting why you haven't thought about changing your name after marriage would also suffice briefly. I will appreciate your guide Secondly, I initially applied for masters thinking that I could go to master through the diploma that lead to Master but all the Canadian university said NO. My question is PGD not the same diploma that leads to Master |

Amylew:First, don't hide your masters degree as it might come back to hunt you in future. Secondly, what area of law was your first masters? Is it the same as the second masters application? If yes, then you can say due to unforeseen (personal)circumstances you couldn't concentrate during the cause of the program and you intend to have a second run at it(in a more stable system). If no, then you can say you intend to try another area of law that interest you ( give details on how you intend to use the new area effectively in Nigeria after graduation). As for the PGD thing, you can also apply for it since your masters application is still ongoing and nothing is certain yet(don't put all your eggs in one basket). If you eventually get your admission then we can advise you on what next to do. For now concentrate on securing admission. Good luck |

mcobex:Good day Please as it concerns the medical test, I went through the qlife website to see what they actually screen for. I discovered: general medical history, physical examination, chest x ray, syphilis, urinalysis, serum creatinine and HIV. Since these are the things they screen for, what is the fate of someone who is healthy but have hepatitis b? I'm scared about my hepatitis b status. Should I keep quite since it was not listed in the tests to be carried out? 1 Like |
