Engr ..., I built a bungalow without pillars (signifies the project has been built and long forgotten) at a location close to where Lafarge blasts limestone every 2 days. It’s almost 9 years now (lifetime specified) and there are no signs of visible cracks. Am I taking unnecessary risk?

My foundation though can conveniently support 3 floors (gives info about the “foundation”). It’s 1.2m deep but (signifies there was a limitation) no pillars and 9in sandcrete blocks were used.

I hope it’s clearer now cos I don’t know how many people are “WE”

It is not. I thought of the idea before starting my project as I so much love bricks and natural stones as exterior wall rendering. If you have the money, fire on with the bricks. It makes the house everlasting and differentiates your build from the rest within the neighbourhood.

If only I have some idea what the difference will be. I'll keep digging until am able to find a side by side comparison. Thanks for your time.
