Hi guys,

Please I need a little information. This question must have been answered before but I have scanned through recent pages and yet couldn’t find anything..

Please my sponsor uses a FirstBank account, and it’s not among the MBS list of banks . Is it going to be a problem? What should I do.

Also, My 30kCAD will be available from this month (hoping on getting an admit by March), hence, 3 months.. does it affect the 6-months policy?

Thank you very much for an anticipated answer

Oh wooow.. This is my exact program @Carleton Uni (CU), feels great to finally see someone going there, 'cos I haven't seen anyone here going since.
Your GPA definitely qualifies you, and I think your certifications are sort of aligned too, because the TIM program @CU has some PM (Project mgt) elements. I really hope you get the admission to Carleton asap wink
Did you message the course administrator before applying?

Meanwhile, to your question, I don't think anything is guaranteed in terms of admission or visa approval, as sometimes a departmental course simply being filled-up might just be the reason for a rejection, that's why I asked if you mailed the course admin @CU before applying. while for the visa, I think it is up to you to craft a very clear vision of why you want to take the path you're taking and how it aligns to your career goals, dreams and aspirations. So yea, your SOP will really give you the best chances. Same thing applies to the Study-permit application, tell your story on why you really want to do the course, do research about past students & career options on graduation on the program's website & align it to your vision to score cheap points with the VO.

Success with both of them, though I hope to see you @CU more smiley.

Hello Fam,

I have applied for Masters in two universities in Canada: UniOttawa and Carleton University. The courses are Digital Transformation/Innovation and Technology Innovation Mgt respectively.

I graduated with 2.1 (GPA 3.9) in Marketing, and has worked for over 5 years as Executive Assistant, with a certification in Project Mgt; combined with training in Digital Marketing.

Please do you think my intended courses align fully well with my academic and professional background, to guarantee me admission and visa?

Thanks.

Hello @Winner0718,

I believe @Frankrobbn1 provided a response to this earlier. However, what I understand based on the NSE request letter that I received is that IRCC wants the account balance as at the time of generating MBS to show POF that'll be enough for at least your 6months stay in Canada (meaning you can have more) and you'll provide a 12months statement of account using MBS.

30k CAD was advertised online when IRCC first announced the NSE pilot program and the required documents were listed in that communication, you can google this. This is the reason everyone has been ensuring to have at least 30k CAD as account balance in one or multiple accounts owned by the applicant, sponsor or both as at the time of generating MBS. Hope this helps? All the best.

It will end in praise for us all...

Well understood now thanks.

My sponsor wants to pay $10k for living expenses to my account while the $20k will be in her account so for the 12 months SOA do i provide my own MBS (12)months as as well as my sponsor? Or my sponsor only would do?

It will end with praise!

I have lived in Germany and I’ve been in Canada for a month plus now. If I had to choose, I’ll pick Canada.

- No language barrier, this means more job opportunities
- Canadians are more friendly
- You’ll get permanent residency status/citizenship in a shorter time and it’s more straight forward.
- There is no “German bureaucracy” in Canada. For example It can take up to 2 weeks to open a bank account in Germany. Meanwhile in Canada, it took me less than an hour. Germans have strict rules and too many paper work.

Cheers

Why is everyone rushing to Canada instead of Germany where the tuition is free?

I think I should jump ship to Canada.

It is a offense not to declare your status when you are asked. You will be asked during your examination if you know of any current health conditions.

Hepatitis B shouldn’t affect your examination. They might require further tests to check if you are infectious. If you’re not, you should be good to go.

Cheers

Good day

Please as it concerns the medical test, I went through the qlife website to see what they actually screen for. I discovered: general medical history, physical examination, chest x ray, syphilis, urinalysis, serum creatinine and HIV.

Since these are the things they screen for, what is the fate of someone who is healthy but have hepatitis b?

Good day my people. Is it advisable for someone with BSc in Engineering & 12yrs work experience in Supply Chain to seek admission for PGD Supply chain management in Canadian college. Noting that I've not been practicing Engrg since graduation. More so, MSc Supply chain is very expensive in Canada. Thanks for your response.

After securing the new admission you are required to inform IRCC via your GC account. You won’t have any issues.

I have a question. Is it possible to change course immediately after arriving Canada but in the same school? That's before registering for a course.

Most study permit applications from Nigerians are being processed from the Canadian Embassy, Nairobi Kenya. It has nothing to do with the school.

It is not done according to the school one is going to. Most applications from Nigeria go to Kenya or China after they are submitted online by the applicant.

@OtunbaTee, you know sey faith level different and as you be prophet, lol.

I didn't include those documents in my first application and in the gcms note that I received, the VO pointed out that I am going to study a masters degree and didn't include documents to prove that I have already acqired a B.Sc in my home country. Ofcourse you can be sure that I loaded them with more documents in my 2nd application.

As said on this platform always, no two applications are ever thesame. I think people should provide documents enough to prove beyond reasonable doubt that their intention to study is real and genuine based on individual circumstances. Finally, back it up with prayers.

It will end in praise for us all...

OtunbaTee:

I dey wonder why people are submitting B.C ,cos I didnt even submit my Bsc, Waec, Nysc and any certificate sef...submitted only my c v and Loe. Lobatan..

Generate the MBS for the both of you since she is sponsoring you but any lump sum coming into your account explain in it your SOP and also do a gift deed to explain the source

Yes bro, i have CAC and my sponsors account too, i just don't know how it works from china, i don't know how to go about upfront Medicals here, The website said i ll get a response in less than 20 days if i apply from China, i really pray it ends in Praise

deommanuel:

Hello
Your closing balance would be sufficient, but I'd like to ask if you were able to show the VO that you or your sponsor can generate more funds to cater for subsequent years, depending on your course and the duration.

Secondly, it's completely your choice to go for upfront medicals. If you decide not to, IRCC will ask you to go for one if you're qualified. Upfront medicals only save you time. Doesn't influence the outcome of your application.

I wish you luck.

IT WILL END IN PRAISES IN THE SHORTEST POSSIBLE TIME

Morning everyone. I'm new to this platform but I have been reading and studying most of the issues raised.

I submitted my NSE documents on Thursday, 7th of January 2021 but up until yesterday the only thing I saw on my portal was "additional documents have been uploaded". I was about to start sending emails and raising webforms for them to acknowledge my documents, only for me to get to work this morning and see an email from CIC acknowledging my additional docs and my portal also has been updated. Eligibility review don start for everything.

It shall end in praise for everyone on this platform.

20th from today is little over a week. When are you supposed to resume (I mean your lessons)? It is possible to get your stamped passport before then if they don't have too much work to do, so consider that when booking your flight.
If you are not so much in a hurry I will advise you don't book your flight for now or book for a date after 20th (if your resumption date is still far).

You can easily find the list of IRCC accredited physicians in China and their address, with that you can go for upfront medical or wait till IRCC instruct you to go for it.
Good luck
