-10 because the yeye man actually wears 10 doing absolutely nothing that resembles what a traditional number 10 should do. They even played him his preferred number 10 position yesterday and he was still useless angry

Am I the only one who thinks Pablo Mari Issa vibe? That guy does almost everything perfectly on the pitch. I've been watching him closely ; spray passes upfield even rivaling David Luiz in that department, closing in on opposing players on time and knowing when to go all out with a dirty tackle. There's this seriousness about him that I see in his game as well

Willian, Pepe and Auba should be glued to the bench...Watching Arsenal and in the past couple of weeks, Auba has looked terrible and disinterested...At some point I was wondering if he has lost a yard of pace because I have seen him refuse to chase balls which he should have gotten to before a defender using his pace but he doesn't even try...

In defense, I don't see Gabriel regaining his spot unless he and Mari can partner which is highly unlikely...Don't get me wrong, Gabriel has been fantastic...

It's good to see you guys doing well once again, it makes for a better league...

Auba is unfortunate to be paired with Pepe and willian those 2 clowns infected him with mediocrity
He can't even hold up play for at least 5 secs

Yeah, I noticed that about him.

The few times I watched him last season before he went to injury, I knew we've got a gem. Reads the game well, can pass ball out from the back both long and short passes. He's really good, no wonder holding is looking good alongside him.

If only him and Gabriel can pair eh, we for don get our own Ferdinand and vidic for years to come.

But then, I don't know if this will work.
Holding and Mari
Saliba and Gabriel.

Who will be our first two pairs and which pair will sit out.

And will the sit out pairs be ready to take the bench wen they know they're good?

That's the conundrum

Auba playing his left wing isn't even bad sef. If we play our normal winning personnel with auba, we can still hope to win a game or even expect goal from him, but you see those other two? Those ones no hope from them even if you play the team to their strength. If Martinelli isn't available, auba will be my next pick, but if any of martinelli or auba isn't available, then that left wing is as good as dead and buried.

And thanks for your compliment, it's rare seeing rival fans exhibit such

Don't let us forget Chambers too. Before both got injured, Holding and Chambers were in good form. This Saliba eh, let us lower our expectations about him. Let him play first before we start pairing him with one of the LCB.
Mustafi, Luiz, Sok will be leaving by the end of the season. with 5 senior CBs, we will be good to go. Also, a lot of prospects in Dzenyi, Ballard, Rekik should be able to provide back up just in case.

I think it has to do with confidence though. And if truly Auba and Willian are short of confidence, Saka, Martinelli and 'De Croydon ' should lend them some. What an irony! The kids were expected to back them up and learn from their experience o. Now, reverse is the case; D

Martinelli suffered an ankle injury yesterday and he left the field in tears. Though,he was later seen at the stand watching the match. I hope he come back soon. We really need him. Those agbayas ain't coming to party anytime soon. Nelson is the closest I can recommend outta all to replace him.

I will not be surprised is African jazz is not involved. Auba and Pepe must have informed their village people.

Jokes apart, he will be a big miss as he is just back from injury layoff. Auba will continue in that RW with Lacazette playing CF. I am not sure if Arteta trusts Nelson enough to start him.

Okay, its time for Martinelli to slow it down a little. He is quite fragile and has suffered too many injuries in such a short span and that is beginning to worry me because I want long term. Too many injuries, especially in a short span makes the body susceptible to new injuries because of a lack of activity. and recovery, you have to remember, the human body is a system that is connected. If you watch how he rolled his ankle, it does not surprise me honestly because it is who he is, he does everything with a lot of intensity but at some point, we have to help Martinelli protect himself from himself.

I still prefer Nelson in that LW. He is the only one that can offer close to what Gabby offers in that position. Pepe might thrive there sha. Willian should be given 3 months off please.

I agree. From an article I read, he said he was feeling some pain around his ankle but he thought it was notbad so he carried on. Dude needs to protect himself and the coach and medical staffs should help him out

Same here honestly. It will also create a unique rivalry between him and Gabby.

Saliba won MOTM in the 1-1 draw against Metz. He performed better than his first outing but could have done better in reacting to the goal Nice conceded.
I believe he will get better as he gets more game time. It is also interesting to note that Nice primarily employ the back 3 formation.

truth be told, it's very hard to defend arteta on how he treat saliba, when he keep on starting willian after every woeful performance.

Saliba is not in the physical condition where he can successfully compete with our current crop of CD. He has hardly had a game with any of them plus he was late invterms of readiness for the season which made him not to be registered.

The decision to send him on loan to a place he is familiar with is a good one. A league where he can gain playing time without much demand on his physical ability unlike in England. This will help him improve his game while he gradually builds his fitness in readiness for next season.

yeah, that could be it and again couple with the fact that a defender error is far more costly than an attacker or midfielder error. I think it will be best for the club to protect him by making sure that the he is at the top of his game when he is facing fast pace epl players that are very physical.

I am confident he will be a valuable player for us next season. He will be among the 5 senior central defenders we will parade next season...

Gabriel
Mari
Holding
Chambers
Saliba
