Guys please I need your input! I saw a Biotechnology Co-op fast track program at centennial college. Now my issue is that I’m going for my service and I’ll probably end up serving in a food company. Now Food analysis is part of the courses I’ll take during my Biotech program in centennial. My issue is it is my wish to study Biotech because it offers a lot of opportunity that Food Technology which is what I was considering. But can I still opt for the Biotech since good analysis and food biochemistry are part of the courses I’ll be taking? |

milkytins:Documents required for Biometrics - Biometric Instruction Letter (1 copy) - Appointment letter (1 copy) - Your International Passport - 2 Coloured Copies of ur International Passport Data Page (Endeavor to print this documents before going to the Center, cos if u don't , u would be left with no choice than to print it at an outrageous amount at the center) Note: Ignore any tout that comes to meet you that you need Passport Photograph, it is not needed 2 Likes |

Hello Everyone Pls my sponsor isn't my relative...what documents should I get from him? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by mcobex: 9:24am On Jan 11, 2021 |
Anamekele:That's cool, since you have enrolled then you don't need to be in a hurry to book your flight so you don't miss or change date if IRCC don't send your passport before then(we don't pray for that though). If you must book your flight for 20th then make sure it is one with changeable date(just in case), that way if your passport arrive before 20th you can travel, if not you will just shift the departure date(it might come at a cost) |

Since i am submitting online, where will i go for the thumb print? or will the embassy direct me to where i will thumbprint here in china ? 5. i don't live in the city where i will go for the medicals. can i do the medicals and thumb print same day ? Chocs: But Canada university are not tuition free. And you still have to pay for Visa and all that thereby compounding expenses. Do you know how much on the average one is expected to use for getting to Germany vs that of Canada? Visa, School fees and all(just on the average, I know each school have differing tuition fees)? I just want to compare both countries based on cost and make my decision, because I kind of like the free education Germany offers. Also, from what I seeing here, procurement of Canada visa seems stressful, too many protocols for the Education route vs Germany that the university doesn't require much for Masters. www.nairaland.com/attachments/12986582_screenshot20210114090812_jpege3ab4403bf816df2ceeb355b8252e4a0 Here |

Hello Everyone, I just thought I should post this in case anyone needs the information. After getting my PPR in October 2020, I did not get any response from IRCC regarding my children's application. I sent emails to all the email addresses posted on this forum. But I kept getting generic responses. I got to know I needed written authorization for my kids. I sent an email requesting for written authorization and expedition of their visas. This is the email: IRCC.COVID-TravelExemptions-Exemptionsdevoyage-COVID.IRCC@cic.gc.ca This email is for those who need written authorization for travel exemption This doesn't apply to those with study visa. The following day, I got their PPR. In about a week, I got their written authorization. For those who want to apply for kids and spouses during this pandemic or are yet to receive the visas for their immediate family members. Read this webpage: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/visitors/visa.html If there is anyone who has travelled to Canada with their kids, can you please share your experience? Thank you. 9 Likes 1 Share |

efedhomav:You can order for your gcms note yourself via some third party sites(one of them is the one you posted), you can get more if you search. As for the case of trying New Zealand or sticking to Canada, it is up to you. Both countries are unique in their own way, so go for the one that suits your future ambition. I can't really say which course you should go for, but I have the following to say: 1. If you decide to go for something relating to what you studied in your bachelors then you will have to explain why you decided to go back to the field after 7 years away (there are so many reasons to give). 2. If you decide to go for your new found "love" field, you also need to explain why you (also, so many reasons to give). So the ball is in your court |

mcobex: Bro, can you please help me to shed more light on the possibilities of a 2.2 graduate with the hope of studying in Canada. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by mcobex: 10:36am On Jan 11, 2021 |
amaoadetayo:The response you got is based on the question you asked. Maybe giving more detail of your profile will go a long way in getting more detailed answer. That been said, getting masters admission with a 2.2 grade is difficult but not impossible. So many factors are considered when assessing your application: what was your grade for the last two years of your bachelors program? How many years experience do you have in your field of study /intended field of study?....... All these and more will play a vital part in their decision making |

mcobex: The last two grades were 3.5 and 4.0 respectively. A fresh graduate to be precise from the department of Environmental Engineering with the hope of having Msc in the same dept. I just want to know if someone can put in with such grades, or someone has to do some sort of diploma programme first. |

Evergeen22:1. If it is less expensive in Nigeria will you fly back to Nigeria just for medical? Lol 2. If it is IRCC accredited physicians then they will accept it 3. They will send the result to IRCC in the space of 2-5 days after your test. They will only give you a receipt to show you have done and paid for your medical (you can later decide to upload it to your application if you feel like, but that's not the result) 4. IRCC will send you an email asking you to go for your biometric and the address of the visa centre in your country/city will be sent to you. You can also search online to see the Canadian visa centre closest to you (in most countries IRCC uses the services of visa application centres to help get those information and accept paper applications from applicants).... Google that 5. Yes you can do both on the same day. But you need to plan your movement the right way. Biometric (thumbprint and capturing) will be done after you have submitted your application (might take between 2 days to 2 weeks after your application, depending on when they send your biometric invitation). As for medical, if you intend to go for upfront medical, you can do that before applying then submit your payment receipt together with your application (meaning you will not do medical and biometric on the same day). Another option will be you submit your application without medical, then once you get your biometric invitation you can now book an appointment with the physician on the same day (after your biometric). Once you get the receipt you can send to IRCC whenever you want. The last option will be to apply, wait for your biometric invitation, then later on wait to receive medical invitation (this will most likely be on a different date) 2 Likes |

javaRookie:We are all unique in our own ways, so our preference doesn't have to be the same. Just like people are rushing to Canada, that's how others prefer Germany. Both countries application can be stressful and at the same time very straightforward. You need to know that no two cases are the same. So the bottom point is, go to where you think will favour you and your plans |
