What they want is the defense secretary or Congress to have a say before a nuke is launched not that they will also be carrying nuclear launch codes anywhere they go.

Imagine idiots. A strong US is necessary for maintaining the balance. North Korea is already developing nuclear submarines for deployment. Iran has gone back to enriching uranium and developing nuclear armament...then these fools want US to tone down their nuclear capabilities to mere retaliatory measures! Wow, ok so Russia can launch a Tsar bomb into US territory decimate millions of lives and then US will retaliate. Biden and Harris will bring the US to its knees, sell it to its enemies and turn the US into another Venezuela.

Therr is a reason why the president is called the Commander-in-chief, he has the sole right to declare war and use the weapons of war accordingly, if the situation demands it.

Multiple access means that just one person can't launch an attack. The code is broken into multiple pieces. Everyone with a piece of the code must consent before an attack.
