When we say missionary schools, in Ghana we have
Catholic
Presby
Methodist
AME Zion
Anglican
SDA and
Muslim schools.

Catholic
Presby and
Methodist have the most missionary schools.
And it's not all 3 churches that are run by Vatican.

As I said earlier, Government absorbed all missionary schools over 20years.ago.

The sensible question you should ask yourself is "What was the population size of Ghana then"?

Any intelligent human being will know the number of missionary schools in the 90's can't serve the current population so there's been an expansion and also new schools built over the years.

Government bears all the cost on these schools.
