wip7: Good day mr wip7, please can a first year student in CIU transfer to another university in another country in the second year? Will his grades and cgpa be transferred too? |
Re: North Cyprus: Part 2 by wip7: 4:42pm On Jan 11, 2021 |
CarterPowers: Cyprus universities and ministries are currently implementing strategies to only admit genuine students that will graduate from Cyprus not the ones that will spend just a semester or one year and transfer from Cyprus to another country. Hence, If you currently interested in studying in UK, USA, CANADA or any European countries etc....just apply to these countries directly as increasing number of students perceived as non-geinune affects those that wants to study and complete their education in Cyprus. Some of the proposed policy are: —-inabilities to transfer grade/courses/transcript —-consultation with embassies —-payment of full 4 or 2 years tuition as the case maybe. ——other policies to limit those that will be using Cyprus as transfer zones etc. So for your specific question; I will advise you to email or call CIU regarding your intention to transfer after 1 year they will be in best position to tell you. 1 Like |

TheLionsPride: As I had explained above, average medical tuition yearly are: Cyprus medicine goes 15-20,000$ years South America: 11-14,000$ / year USA: 38–68,000$/yearly. Many students have also found medical studies in Ukrain and Russia cheaper. However, since Russian and Ukrain medical schools are not structured in a way for students to take USLME/PLAB; those degrees receive lower recognition especially in USA, India and UK. There are general complain that they students are not directly exposed to pure medical training etc. Generally any foreign degrees are often acceptable in Africa while some will need to pass national exams. So when it comes to medical studies; not just the tuition that need to be considered; will it be accepted in my country? Will I receive adequate training and practices ? Will be accepted in major developed nations? Those questions should be focused unlike those going to study tourism or business or engineering... |

wip7: OK thanks. What do u mean by payment of the 4 year full tuition? Is that what happens when a student wants to transfer to another country or what? |

For the financial implications of studying I believe I can work it out. But my questions are: * Can I apply for MSc direct with my HND "UPPER CREDIT" (MSc economics, Management etc) * Which is preferable Cyprus / TRCN * What are the options for work will studying I'll stop here sir, I await your responses, thanks to all the contributors. |

Goodmorning Whip! I just got admission to study at Near east university TRNC,(undergraduate program) I’m 30 years of age. I want to know my chances of getting the Turkish T-visa. Or is it advisable to apply for the Ok to board.? |
Re: North Cyprus: Part 2 by wip7: 8:58am On Jan 14, 2021 |
Decoendowed001: If you are European, Cypriot or have passport that is visa free or visa on arrival to Europe—-then you can travel easily. Otherwise you should have visas and no south embassy or consulate in TRNC and Vice versa. |

wip7: Good morning wip7, please I have a question. My secondary school principal just told me that my waec certificate will be available on February 24th. What I have with me is the statement of result. Should I use that to apply for the admission on the 16th of next month into CIU? Or will it not be accepted at the airport by the officials since I plan on using OK to board? Please I need ur assistance as I don't want to waste my efforts. Thanks sir. And also, do I need to authenticate the result despite using OK to board? Can I present it like that to the immigration officers? |

Re: North Cyprus: Part 2 by wip7: 3:06pm On Jan 14, 2021 |
Dapsyn33: Ejeh123: Seems to be the same person with different userIDs. I personally have not worked at the embassy before and visas are issued by the consular office after evaluating your application. I can't comment on the chances of you getting or being rejected a visa; what I can say is the ministry of education and immigration in Cyprus has proposed age limits for undergraduate applicants in certain countries in which Nigeria is inclusive. So most of the universities don't issue admission above the age limit; since you have been admitted you can apply for a visa or OKTB. Best wishes. |
Re: North Cyprus: Part 2 by wip7: 3:11pm On Jan 14, 2021 |
CarterPowers: You have asked this question before on Jan 5th... The answer has not changed on January 14th. Kindly check the previous response. You can apply for admission anytime with the statement of result and if your result is very new; get the scratch card, the results on your school letterhead with the original stamp, and notarized it, which will be fine with OKtb. Since the certificate will be out on 24th Feb, then no issues. Take note OKTB rules are not fixed so it changes based on the time of flying. Best wishes |

MYBUSINESSARENA: CIU admits students with HND for a master's program and you may have to take foundation courses and pay for them. * Which is preferable Cyprus / TRCN Preferable in terms of what? South Cyprus does not admit HND for master directly. * What are the options for work will studying Jobs are scarce in both TRNC and South Cyprus. Both countries are mainly for studies only, while some students have found jobs the salaries can only be for some supports. All students are advised to have full tuition or a stable sponsor. I'll stop here sir, I await your responses, thanks to all the contributors. Best wishes |
Re: North Cyprus: Part 2 by CarterPowers(m): 3:30pm On Jan 14, 2021 |
wip7: OK thank u sir. I will apply with the statement of result from my high school. It has my principal's signature and everything. I'll notarize and attest it at the ministries. But i will still be getting a scratch card since the result is a 2016 one. I really hope CIU accepts it during registration proper and all goes well. When I travel back to Nigeria in august, I'll retrieve the original from the school. Hope that will be fine, sir? |
Re: North Cyprus: Part 2 by wip7: 4:11pm On Jan 14, 2021 |
CarterPowers: Usually, the university will give you a form for missing original documents and time to supply the original documents which often ranges from 1-3 months. |
Re: North Cyprus: Part 2 by CarterPowers(m): 4:18pm On Jan 14, 2021 |
wip7: 3 months? But I won't be back in Nigeria till vacation. What will I do then sir? |
