congrats...they look young shaa but Its still funny to agree that we easily dominate this u-17, struggle in the u-21, and suffer In the main national team but they are so many factors involved shaa...
back then I thought dominating In this u-17 competitions really means that the future is bright, maybe it doesn't work in naija..

That is how it ought to be, but previously Nigeria do use over aged players to dominate this level, and when they are promoted to higher level they are already old and worn out

bros abeeg forget that MRI test because that thing na scam,a cousin of mine participated in that u-17 naija hosted and all of us in the family did dry fasting n prayer for him to be successful and he was highly favored and my dad even gave testimony with dt miracle..
do you know the real age of a stanley okoro of that same set?? or the age of a cetain defender that was their captain dt even had kids?? make I no talk shaa, because am not sure about how they were screened because that same squad would have been banned if the screening really worked
MRI just scan the bones but it isn't even close to being perfect, I even heard players would be placed on special diet to help them easily pass the test..

You didn’t tell state the cousin’s age. Abuchi Obinwa was playing age group and youth football in the US. He flew into Nigeria accompanied by his parents with all the relevant documents proving his age. This boy still FAILED MRI test.

He never was given the opportunity to try out with Nduka Ugbade’s team at the time. This boy wasn’t the only one frustrated by the MRI scan.

yes, I agree if you say MRI wasnt used them because am not sure and I also agree that the age going by the faces am seeing is more better and younger than previous sets and that's a good way forward even I they may look inexperienced and struggle to win it..
at least its better that we are building a younger team for the future, thats if corruption would allow those at the top do tinz right..

MRI was not in use then. This current set of boys are really young.

robosky02 is right

The faces and physique of the Ivorians look above 17 to me.

By then, MRI thought otherwise so lipsrsealed.
People have different natures. People looking old in your eyes does not actually mean they are not young. Everyone must not look a certain way as prove to being young. Alot of factors contribute to this as well but I wont go into much details.

Oga during Stanley Okoro set that was hosted by Nigeria MRI scan was not introduced. Nigeria U'17 since the inception of the MRI has been struggling to qualify for FIFA tournament due to the introduction of the MRI which has greatly reduce age cheat reason we cannot even beat smaller team in Africa again not to talk of dominating the FIFA world cup U'17 anymore. our yansh don they open, unless we start to go back to grass root and develop talent, winning the FIFA U'17 world cup again go be long thing for naija, mark my word

Totally agree. However, I didn't say they were not U-17 for certain. I said they LOOKED above 17 which you have also alluded to in your response.

MRI is not flawless. Nigeria won two U17 tourney even after MRI was introduced. The preparation for the competition is poor, hence selection of the best set of players wasn't done thoroughly

No it isn’t that, I heard/read they changed the criteria for the scan this time, they made it the highest grade possible because the previous MRI grade 3 was not adequate... dem still dy use older players
They even made a rule once competition starts and they testing again and 1 of your players proves to be over aged, they would disqualify the team which happened to Togo the host nation

If Na the previous grade for MRI, u for dy see dem Stanley okoro for field... dis way, real 17 years old na they play this ball so and if you b 17 but u get old man bones, wahala for u o grin

Abeg , after Okoro set, we won U17 with Osimeh and Kelechi sets.
2yrs ago, they were in the last three of Afcon U17

The problem is not MRI abeg
