Hello @JustMellow,

Is it possible to apply for a SOWP from outside Canada without first receiving the actual study permit? Since LOI is what we get from here and the SP is only given at the POE. Please clarify.

It will end in praise for us all...

Hello TeeMade,

A valid LOA, LOI and LOE are the three musketeers. HT and POF are the boogymen.

Hope you get the point now.

Cheers!

Hi Guys,

I just got this mail from VFS (after several other mails) :

The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. Bleep has been received from the IRCC Office on 1/13/2021 11:13:07 AM at the Canada Visa Application Centre, Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja and is ready for collection.

The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. xxxx has been collected from the Canada Visa Application Centre, Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja on 1/13/2021 11:17:17 AM.

Does this mean the package is now with DHL(I paid for 2-way courier)?

Thank you.

I also saw that ghost update oh when I checked at midnight before I slept but it's not the first time though.

I didn't think much of it becuase I got a response 2 days ago to one of the webforms I raised, I guess from the Newyork office cos it just shows DoNotReply-NePas..., saying they've updated
my documents as requested. I was wondering what they were talking about cos the document I attached to the webform is just my acceptance letter and the mail from my DLI stating it is mandated for all January intakes to participate in the Orientation course starting on the 11th, so they should kindly expedite the processing of my application and provide an update. So I didn't understand where document upload was a request. Can anyone assist to clarify this though, like do I need to take any action or just chill cos I plan to raise webforms today again oh. Sunday was the last time I did that.

@Frankrobbn1 @JustMellow @all the gurus, biko advise.

It will end in praise for us all...

Hello TeeMade,

I believe they were referring to the attached LOA. No need to be worried, everything seems fine. Keep sending a warm reminder at intervals to inquire about the status of your applicstion, other than this, chill.

Best of Luck

Hello everyone,

I studied Sociology & graduated with a 2:1 & decided to apply after my NYSC to University of Manitoba 2018 for fall 2019. I didn't get admission. I tried applying again to University of Windsor & Manitoba December 2020 for fall 2021. I followed all steps duly, yet I was not admitted for University of Windsor. I am waiting for response from Manitoba. This would be my second time, so I contacted the admission officer for the department of Sociology & Criminology via email. She responded well. But I don't want leave out on any chance. I want to apply again to the University of Newfoundland before Jan 15th. I don't know what decision to take now.

Please when someone's passport is dispatched to courier and the couriers name is not mentioned. How can one track it?
This is because I got a mail that my passport has been dispatched with tracking number of vfs. But they didn't mention the courier that will bring it to my address.
Are they going to send the couriers name later or the courier will call me because I paid return Envelope fee to vfs

As per their acceptance rate, well...all I can say is that once you have a good and competitive application, you will be admitted.

Hi,

Most Masters program in Canada require a 2nd Class Upper

With you 2.2 grade, you are eligible to apply for a Post Graduate Certificate Program, do a google search on the following Microbiology related PG. Cert programs and explore their respective websites.

- PG. Cert, Ecosystem Restoration
Niagara College, Ontario

- PG. Cert, Environmental Monitoring & Impact Assessment (EMPD)
Cambrian College, Ontario

- PG. Cert, Environmental Management & Assessment
Niagara College, Ontario

As regards cost, you have to check the tuition of the program you want to go for (International Tuition) , like $15,000 CAD upward & also show at least one year living expenses of $10,000 CAD

For more information on that, read the content in the link below
