Senior in the house can you give your insight on this GCMS note: “I am not satisfied that the applicant would leave Canada at the end of their stay as a temporary resident, I note that: the client is married or has dependants or states to have close family ties in their home country, but is not sufficiently established. The study plan does not appear reasonable given the applicant’s employment and education history. I note that: the client proposed studies are not reasonable given their career path taking the applicant current employment situation into consideration, the employment does not demonstrate that the applicant’s is sufficiently well established that the applicant would leave Canada at the end of a authorised stay” Profile Application submitted on 23/03/2020,refused on 15/09/2020. nayantunde: This application is a career change right? From accounting to personal and child care support. Did you state why in your sop? And may have to show steps you have taken towards the change. I read here once someone even did free udemy or cousera courses and submitted the certificates to show steps he has taken towards the change. Accounting to personal and child care support is a huge leap. The gcms note kept hammering education and employment history. Career change is possible so fear not. Let others weigh in. It will end in praise 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Toceenay(m): 7:25pm On Jan 13, 2021 |
nayantunde:2 questions sir... ![]() 1. Since you studied Accounting and applied for personal support and child care, have you at a point in time worked in any child care related services during your years of working experience? 2. Which area or field do you have more years of working experience, even if it's not accounting related? I believe you will still need a very strong SOP to proof to the VO why changing your career path. The GCMS note shows the main reason for denial is unclear career progression based on your previous study and employment, that's why I asked those questions... I'll personally advise you choose a course that's closely related to accounting, and if you'll choose any course based on your working experience, choose one that you've had more years of working experience.... With the VO concerns, I strongly believe accounting related course is your best bet! You can wait for more contributions as well! |

dmickdx:Hi, - Since you are from NIGERIA (an English Speaking Country) you don't need IELTS to apply for Admission in a Canadian school, I don't know if its the same for U.S IELTS (English Test) for admission in Canada are meant for countries whose language or official language is not ENGLISH e.g India, China, Philippine , Vietnam etc. So if you see it as an admission requirement for a program, it is not applicable to you, you are EXEMPTED To Search for UNDERGRADUATE, PGD, MASTERS, PH.D PROGRAMS IN CANADA https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=&program_level_merged=&program_language=ENGLISH - To your 2nd question, Go through the following posts in the links below Interested in getting a student visa to canada, See this https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/558#96300254 Things to note about Canada Study Visa, and be careful of https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/82#97848268 You can await additional information from gurus & Members in house Good luck!! 1 Like |
