gbadeolu1: To enable IRCC process your application faster(around 20 days), you'll be asked to submit an IELTS result with at least a 6.0 score in each section. You can choose to write the paper based or computer based test(if you've not written before). The latter allows you get your result in 3-5 days. The second document is a "mybankstatement" certificate from your bank. You can Google "mybankstatement" to get more information about that, but basically, your bank generates an ID and password which is sent to the embassy. You're required to have at least 30kCAD in this bank account. I'm sure someone will post the link to a thread where all these were explained better. Goodluck! IT WILL END IN PRAISES IN THE SHORTEST POSSIBLE TIME. |

eja4uu: It has little or nothing to do with which university or college you apply to, it revolves around meeting the requirements for your study permit application. It will end in praise. |

deommanuel: Thank you for your explanation. Does it mean it's a must to have IELTS score? Because my destination school exempted Nigerian applicants from needing one and I explained this in my LOE. Also, I added a letter of English proficiency from my previous schools of study with my application. About mybankstatement, I'm presenting a scholarship letter as proof of funding with a little fund in my personal account. Do you think I'll still need the bank stuff? Thanks for your support |

Good morning my people, kindly help clarify the following: 1. Is IELTS now compulsory for study permit application regardless of some schools waving it if previous education was in English? 2. I have BSc Engrg, professional masters in Engrg managmt with 12yrs work experiencein Supply chain & proposing to study Supply chain managmt- PGCert. In canada college. Will the masters pose any issue or i Should not declare it? 3. Which route would favour my situation- NSE or normal route of visa application? 4. Age is 40+, does this pose any issue ? Please help respond to this |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Yteem: 10:56am On Jan 14, 2021 |
senator77: 1. IELTS is not compulsory. It is only required if you want your study permit application to be processed via the NSE route. 3. Any route you decide to go for is okay. The most important thing is to make sure your application is properly packaged. 4. Your age does not pose any issues. Just make sure your application is tight and okay. 2. For this, you need to be sure that what you put forward is true and it shows progression. If you already have a masters and you are going for PG cert. That will be an issue. Just be sure that you can adequately explain and provide a clear line of progression. (I think you should also wait for the gurus to add more to this number 2. |

My DLI is on the list of approved DLI with Covid-19 plan. What I meant was that my DLI is not yet open to in-person classes just like 99% of all DLIs. Hope that is clear? No airline will carry you if your DLI is not on the approved list. That is part of what they verify at the airport when they ask you for LOA and LOE etc. gugu40: |
