Nice pictures but how come Dangote tomato factory shut down due to lack of consistent supply of tomatoes? That is the issue - consistent production and supply of these products to processing facilities. It is quite unfortunate that they don't get full value for their products. As it is, unless processed, it is practically useless. What is 3, 500? On the other hand, based on the comments here, some Nlders are quite ignorant regarding Southerners venturing into agriculture. Helloooooooooooo, there is no top ten economy in the world where agriculture makes up to 50% of its GDP. Nothing is wrong if Southern Nigeria relies on imported agric produce provided their economic activities can generate enough revenue to purchase them. Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and China are major food importers because to them, it is more profitable to engage in financial services, auto manufacturing, tech, chemical production, tourism etc., than agriculture. In return, those economic activities generate more than enough money to buy whatever agric produce of their choice. Heck, food is cheap in those countries even though they are imported. Y'all should ask for a refund from whoever taught your secondary school economics. |

Slimjim6969: Trading is more profitable than farming. If it wasn't, there won't be less poor people in the east than the north. Better focusing on profitable aspects to generate enough money to buy agric produce at whatever price. |

I don't think they stand a chance with cheap free trade imported processed tomatoes from China and Italy. |

Shedrachmessi:I see. That's interesting. I know of Maguzawa from Katsina state and from Kano state that are Christians. I thought Christians from Kaduna state are only from Southern Kaduna and Central Kaduna. I hope that the next governor from your state will be a Christian. |
