Force restart your phone severally, it will take a while to settle down to the new system changes, you didn't just update to MIUI 12 you updated to Android 10 as well.

My people am sorry derailing. Around October 2020 I wanted to get my sis a new phone xiaomi and my budget was 90k but she said she preferred iPhone so I sent her the money and she got iPhone 7 London used. After a while the phone started having issues with network reception it later stopped, now it has started again since December almost a month now. She took it for repairs and they said 10k I said OK let them work on it only for me to get home yesterday and found out it can't be repaired and she tried different phone engineers for Emeka Offor at Onitsha.
So na like this the phone go take go or can it be repaired.. Am just angry cos I have to put on hold getting my own phone just to buy for her first and then this..

if the model number is A1660 my brother forget it. Or get mifi for her to browse the internet, but won't be able to make call. Don't try to reset the phone in order not to regret.

I don't know of this complaints you are talking about because as for me MIUI 12 improved my battery life, which is the least of my problems by the way.

Especially that ultra power saving mode they brought back on global version... Mehhn that feature is so blimey... I wonder why they didn't include it in MIUI 11 global but was present in the Chinese version.

I use a RN5(You can check when it came out and the MIUI Version that came with it). Unlike you I am not scared of updates. MIUI 12 is close to a year old and MIUI 13 is on the way. If you are scared of something as small as an update you can remain on MIUI 11 through out your duration of using the phone.
