Maygirl953:You are welcome, This question has been answered already The no 1. response which says So you know that, it's the same way you will apply for the Regular Channel you will apply for the NSE route, the only difference is the way NSE route requires you to do Proof of Funds (POF) i.e MybankStatement Ticket having the required $30,000 CAD & the English test (IELTS) requirement The only significant thing about NSE is the Mybank Statement Certificate/Ticket of the required POF & IELTS test (20 days processing time), but the regular channel you will have to scan your Sponsor's 6 months Bank Statement & you don't need IELTS (Presently 35 weeks processing time) So While merging and uploading your Documents and this two NSE required documents are there, you have automatically given the Visa Officer the go ahead that you want your application to be processed via the NSE route. 3 Likes |

Otunba please can you advise me on this or Mr Frank and the pros on this page. I have sent a mail to the bank to send me my bank certificate through my sponsor and the account officer only sent a mail typing in the ticket ID and send my sponsor should log in to his ibank and my acocunt to find the password for the embassy. This is for GT bank. Please is that how it works because he sent a mail to the bank to send mybank certificate statement to the embassy and send him the eticket ID immediately after but the account officer claimed she sent it yesterday, the only think she sent is the ticket ID number. There's no proof from her end that shows my bank certifcate on it with the ticket ID. Please confirm if it's like this whenever one orders from bank, if not, how do we go about doing it if the sponsor has no online account and is not in the country. He can only send a letter in a mail authorizing the bank to do kit which I think was done wrongly now with the way she sent the ticket ID. I need help asap please guys. Thank you. OtunbaTee: |

Celoexpress:Open this link and see sample of what the bank is meant to send is a one page paper containing the ticket ID and password this link is self explanatory https://www.visa-mybankstatement.com/ If he uses GTBank he can get it done on his online banking except if he doesn't use online banking let him send a mail to the account officer that he doesn't have the mobile app and online banking is the bank that will send the statement directly to the Canadian Embassy then a one page ticket ID and password will be generated automatically which you will upload back GTB bank is conversant with this unless the account officer is a new staff.see attached the sample of what you will get I had to erase the name on it

Please does anyone know if students with approved Visas are considered non-discretionary? Has anyone travelled on a study permit after January 7th? What exactly were the requirements for travelling? Thank you. 1 Like |

kelvine95: Two years ago, Nairobi immigration has been in charge of processing study visa application from Nigeria. Every application is unique in its own case and as such treated differently based on the visa officer's perspective. A visa officer can decide to refuse an application to the best of his/her assessment and in the second attempt the new visa officer will see reasons with the applicant and subsequently grant an approval. It will end in praise. 2 Likes |

Hi @Akannitommy [quote author=FrostyButter post=98038173] I read through your post and I must say; you're really vast in this Canada PR / Study permit details. I am seeking advice from anyone in the house... In 2019 I tried applying for a Masters (in these programs: Project Mgt, MBA, Research & Development) in Canada but to no success. I later stumbled on a company called SnowFox in Lekki Lagos who claimed to be an EduConsultant. Eventually, they secured a Post graduate degree for me with Fleming College in Ontario on the basis that I did not qualify for a Masters because of my Undergrad CGPA which was 3.64. The claimed that Canada doesn't accept anyone with a CGPA of 3.6 and below for Masters. Without further ado, I accepted the admission offer for the PGD in Project Management. Fast forward to 2020, covid happened and delayed my visa application. I submitted my Student visa application in September and on January 13th, I received a letter or refusal from Canada Immigrations. I what I need help/clarification with are these; 1. Can I secure a Masters in Canada with that CGPA? If yes, kindly share any step by step guide or tips for success. 2. Can I appeal or contest my student visa refusal? If yes, please share any ideas or ways to go about it. Thank you in anticipation of your response. |

I did my biometrics at VFS Abuja for my first application in September (a day after the refusal was received). Both applications were online. I sent my passport to VFS Abuja without paying any Transmission Fee when my second application was approved. Akannitommy: |

tojeruky:Hi, While you wait for contributions/inputs from the Gurus and other Members. See this 1) Your CGPA is ok to apply for a Masters since its a 2.1. Most Canadian Universities require a Minimum of 2.1 to gain a Masters Admission, many of them are not always specific about the 2.1 CGPA. So you know, Masters Admission is not about CGPA only, there is more to it e.g Research Potentials/Ability, Publications (if any) etc. There are many applicants who has less than your CGPA but got a Mastwrs Admission. So in a nutshell, coupled with some hard work and your 2.1 CGPA, yes you can get a Masters Admission. Visit the link below and do a research on schools offering Masters in Business Administration https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Business+Administration&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH The contents in the link below can help you in packaging yourself to get an M.SC position Full guides on how to apply for MASTERS or PH.D programs in Canadian Universities, Secure a Supervisor (Professor) and also get possible FUNDING (SCHOLARSHIP) https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/111#90933556 For those sending emails to professors If you want to know why: -The Prof ignores your email -The Prof deletes it without responding -The Prof sends a negative respons -The Prof sends a positive respons Read this piece by Prof Marc Dube, University of Ottawa, Canada https://www./looking-graduate-student-position-heres-how-avoid-frustration-dub%C3%A9/ 2) Get your GCM notes, so you can address/tackle the reasons the Visa Officer refused your application. Also, one can easily assume you didn't show cogent reasons in your Statement of Purpose (SOP) why you opted for a Post Graduate Program instead of a Masters Program despite having a CGPA that qualifies you to apply for a Masters Your GCM note will shed more light on what went wrong While you are waiting for your GCM notes, the content in the links below will be essential for your reapplication COMMON REFUSAL REASONS AND HOW TO TACKLE THEM https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/28#89356538 |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by tojeruky: 8:20pm On Jan 15, 2021 |
Thank you @Lekiboboe. I have googled what GCM notes are and here's the explanation I got; The GCMS (Global Case Management System) is a system used by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to process immigration and citizenship applications. ... GCMS notes are considered to be the only option for applicants to get the most accurate and exhaustive view of their IRCC file. Now for me that is going for a student visa, do I need this GCM? If yes, how does it work really? : Lekiboboe: |
