Nothing special in what you are doing. The average Nigerian eats once a day in this present economy. Infact some eat once every 2 days and they are normal. Better do the 21days water fast you were instructed to do and stop boboing us.

Fasting that God did not call you to do. You just want to prove yourself. pride of life at work. If indeed God called you to do a water fast for 21 days. He will strengthen you to finish through, so why the sudden change? Holyspirit does not operate like that

Perhaps i should also have revealed that I had observed a 3-day dry fast not long before I started the 21-day water fast, or even lied and hidden the fact that I had stopped with the 21-day fast so that I would be humble to you.

It's okay though, you're entitled to your own opinion but God sees the heart, and if this be pride at work or not, then let him deal with me accordingly.

No. I started by taking water only for five days but now I eat once a day.

I actually intended to go on a 21-days water fast, but on the day 3 while i was doing a little work, I almost passed-out. I don't know if it was because I hadn't fully recovered from a 3-day fast I had done without taking water or food not long before I commenced this one. Though I still managed to continue till day 5, but that was the furthest I could go. It was from there I began to eat once a day.

Though I intend to still do a 21-day water fast as some point. That's my main target before this year runs out.

But it's not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of God.

I don't take water at all and its not easy o. 12am-6pm, there was a time I had a serious hiccup, I was so parched cause I was singing all through and praying too but more of singing, its not easy but the results of the fasting are always amazing. I am building my spiritual growth, there is a dimension I want to be operating in as a prophetess of God.

Oh great. I was about to ask you how you're feeling after the fast.

It's not always easy since you're depriving your flesh of things that it's used to having, but that's the whole point of fasting. That one does not live by the things of the flesh alone but by the things of the spirit.

Yesterday was the last day of the 3 days fasting, after the fasting I felt super charged, On the second day I had an impartation in the dream by a popular genuine man of God, I knew I grew a bit spiritually, we don't graduate from the realm of the spirit, we keep growing from one dimension to another, there is so much to God too, there is a spiritual gift I have that have also improved tremediously during the fast. We can't afford to remain a babe forever in the things of God, babe drink milk, adult eat meat.

Wow! It's really inspiring to hear about the significant developments in your spiritual life you observed after your fast. It's another testament to the fact that fasting really works because it was also the 3-day dry fasting (without food and water) I did towards the end of last year that yielded this topic.

You're right that we can't graduate from the realm of the Spirit, because we can only graduate from the realm of the physical and the flesh to the realm of the Spirit.

That's whole point of all the spiritual exercises we engage ourselves in which is to grow and build our spirit, til the point where we no longer have to run and not get weary, but we now start walking and not faint.

Because at that point, we no longer have to run to meet or keep up with God, as we are now able to walk with Him at His pace. So all we need to do from that point on is to maintain that level.

It's the point where we become friends of God, that God could begin to swear in His Name concerning His promises to us as He did to Abraham, because then He no longer sees us as someone else but as His very own and kind.

It's takes a whole lot to get to that level though hence only a few have been able to get there.. I have once described it as the escape velocity in science, where the velocity required to launch a rocket into space is really huge, but once surmounted, and the rocket has been able to escape the gravitational pull of the Earth, it hence attains another dimension in space where it now begins to float with little effort.

So it's not easy at all, but with God it's possible.

May God give us the grace to become everything He deserves for us to be for His Own glory. Amen!

I just came across this thread and it's been encouraging. God bless you brother. Also on a water-fast that God instructed me to do (I sometimes sip juice when my tongue begins to taste bitter or super strange). Today is my own Day 8. The Lord is our strength.

Wow! The Lord instructed you to fast? That's really great. That means He's already settled it. It's nice to know you've reached day 8. It's not easy at all but the Lord is your strength. I almost passed out on day 3 myself after doing some quite stressful work. I could relate to the bitter taste too.

I would try to go for the 21-day water fast again before the middle of this year, but only when I'm fully recovered because I don't want to go quarter way again but to complete it this time.
