It happened that way cos our leaders are just politicians without ideas but scatter gun approach. The only thing they can do is try to copy what other societies are doing. Even that copying sef they cannot do appropriately 20 Likes 1 Share |

So sad. Feel for them. People who projected they'll soon leave school have to remain home. NYSC calendar too, then everyone knew it was March, June and November. Now the batches have streams that it's only NYSC and the people serving that can distinguish them. 1 Like |

Covid 19 is not that serious in Nigeria but I wonder why Nigeria enforced a lockdown. Lack of brilliance......... 3 Likes |

I just discussed this with someone yesterday. The prospect of admitting new students this year looks bleak. Imagine many schools are still running first semester, 2019/2020 session. So we can say they will still be in 2019/2020 session by May 2021 if the session is allowed to run its course. Now Post UTME screening for incoming Year one students is being planned. We are going to have JAMB candidates this year. While those that started Year one in 2019 are still in 100 level. However, I see this in one positive way. Let our universities develop 2 academic years in a single year as it is done in some countries. We can have Hamarttan and Rainy sessions (as we have Winter and Summer sessions in some countries, using our climatic conditions here as opposed to what they have over there). I think polytechnics run such packages as morning and evening students. Remove some of the courses we do here in Nigeria. I don't see what we gain by studying over 8 courses in a single semester. We can streamline our programs and get more effective classes without packing courses for students. With enough needed reforms, we can comfortably accommodate two sets of year One students in a single year. 12 Likes 4 Shares |

Its just the worse situation ever. For someone like me who took DE since last year, for medsurge, I don't even know when I'll be returning to school. I've been destabilized, psychologically deranged. This is the result we get for having a bad government, Buhari, APC are just the worse Nigeria could ever have . ASUU,FG, most of them have their children in private schools, outside the country too, so they don't really care. Nigerian students should just be patient and get busy with one or two things, an idle man is a devils workshop. Cos this problem is not ending soon, Accept it as fate, but the moment you acquire enough money ,just leave the country. 2 Likes |

The worst thing is that schools is not even certain to run smoothly this year. There's still the threat of another lockdown and ASUU is still lurking in the dark waiting to pounce with another strike. FG should make up their mind now before schools resume, I don't want a situation where I will move into school, pay for rent next month, and lockdown or strike will commence the following month 8 Likes 1 Share |
