Lessons In Biden’s Appointments Of Nigerians by Yoruba1stson: 6:46am On Jan 18, 2021 |
THE United States President-elect, Joe Biden’s appointment of three young Nigerians into his cabinet is replete with lessons, not just for Nigeria, but for the entire African continent. Biden first appointed 39-year-old Adewale Adeyemo, who was the first President of the Obama Foundation, as United States Deputy Secretary of the Treasury. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/01/lessons-in-bidens-appointments-of-nigerians/ 26 Likes 5 Shares

The main lesson I learned from this is that tribalists are stupid. You can see different Nigerian tribes ably represented here (although many are missing too). Our only enemies are the political class from all the tribes, not one another. But some of us, instead, choose to defend them and think that we are doing ourselves some good. Without these wicked old cargoes, Nigeria would be far better than South Korea with our extraordinarily rich human and natural endowments. It is why I wrote this article the other day: How A 30-something-year-old Nigerian Could Become The President In 2023 (click here to read it). We need young progressive detribalized Nigerians to run the affairs of this country if we don't want to end up very badly. We can even promote Seun or any other Nairalander to run for President in 2023. Read my article and you will see reasons with me. Let's stop getting ourselves enslaved to the corrupt old cargoes who are totally out of tune with modern realities. This is not about tribe. It's about the future of our generations yet unborn. ENDSARS should have revealed to us the power we can wield as Nigerian youths IF WE ARE UNITED under a political structure. Please please please. Meanwhile, check my profile if you are unemployed and you'd like an opportunity to earn with Whatsapp and your local bank account. 114 Likes 5 Shares |

There's no lesson to be learnt by us and there's nothing to be gained by us from this. Nigeria needs to be completely emptied and repopulated by a new set of people if it's going to ever be better than it is now. 8 Likes |

Things will get better the day, the Yorubas stop betraying other tribes. Like the way Tinubu installed Buhari for his selfish 2023 ambition. How can we explain having some one as slow, low, lifeless, brainless, motionless, backward, incapable, old, stagnant, sick, tribalistic, nepotic and supporter if terrorists become a president in this country in this 21 century How The reason why Tinibu should never and can never win election again in Nigeria. He sold us all to the devil for his own sake. 18 Likes 1 Share |

Great, in as much as their appointment, won't have any direct effect on Nigeria and Nigerians, we wish them well and success. |

Shooo..... And you call that brain drain? No na, let's find another word for that! So apart from these guys who were given opportunities and a good working condition to harness their potentials, what happen to the millions of same Nigerians who have same abilities with no opportunities wasting here in Nigeria? How I wish the US government and other European countries will just throw their Gates Open for all Nigerian youths then we would have known that every youth of this country is potential genius! All our government knows is to LOOT, LOOT AND LOOT! MAKE GOD PUNISH THEM! 2 Likes |

it is a false hope to keep calling these appointees Nigerians. Let us be sincere to ourselves, both Biden and his Nigerian acclaimed appointees would give no damn to Nigeria or Africa. Stop the low self esteem on Nigeria already 11 Likes |

One thing is certain. If those nominated by Biden didn't escape this dungeon, they wouldn't have been nominated. Nigeria is a dream killer. The leaders are not serious with government, lastly, it hurts being a Nigerian and not seeing any hope of escaping. 11 Likes |

Who is deceiving who? We all know who the Democrats are, their evil motives in buying Nigerians over so they can bid us with their satanic laws. They once tried it with Jonathan's government and they'll still fail this time. The appointment of Nigerians into Biden's government is a Greek gift and it will soon backlash on us soon. Democrats are evil. |

I see youths in Nigeria not being elected into political positions for a long time. I see that Nigerians love suffering and prefer older theives to keep robbing them than having young people filled with ambitions on how to move the country forward. I see Nigeria no getting better anytime soon. This I have seen. |

I know NCAN will rush into this thread to celebrate the region these Nigerians are from, lol. but what is our problem in this country? we have a set of the most brilliant and industrious people on earth but yet we are lacking behind in so many areas. Our leaders should be ashamed, letting our productivity and intellect rot while we depend on other countries for even common tooth paste. I can't wait to be done with medical school and by God's grace leave this country. |
