Time2soar1: Thanks... Mine shouls be just 6 months old right? Also my company splits my salary into two different accounts. Would stream of income from other sources into my account as i try to build it also work? Asides salary. And would that be suspicious being that i live off my salary as the only source of income. Also i read up passively somewhere where it was mentioned that i could obtain a letter from my organisation stating that i would return working upon the end of my study leave. Should i apply for such letter? My slary scale is bare over a hundred. Would that be useful or i should just forget complications in my application? Cc @OtunbaTee |

Hello to everyone on this thread, pls I just want to ask a few questions.I hope it all get answered, from all what I had seen and read on this platform, I'm very happy there are people like these here. Thanks in advance. So,I recently got admission to one university in Canada and I'm going to start processing my study permit very soon.I was wondering if I should tell them about my current academic status(I'm about to start 300 level in a university in Nigeria). So, I want to know if I should say anything about it in my letter of explanation. The admission I got in Canada is about me starting all over again because I messed up(I have a bad results in my current university) and my family are giving me a second chance, hence my question. I will really appreciate it if I get an answer soon. Thanks in advance. |

pls I need answer. Please help me: I'm nurturing Canadian study dream. (1) I have my O'level(NECO) and Nigeria Certificate of Education(NCE) where I studied Integrated Science/Physics(3years program) in one of the Colleges of Education in Nigeria. *I wish to study any science/computer related course in Canada. Can my previous NCE result be of any help for me? If yes, how? (Sorry to digress a bit, if I applied for Express Entry, can WES evaluate NCE result? What will be the point? I will pass IELTS and I have 4-year UAE work experience with proof of fund) (2) I'm currently working in Dubai-UAE, can I apply for canada study permit from here after being granted admission by my university/college of choice or I need to cancel my contract here in UAE and come to Nigeria to face the process fully? (3) (if i need to cancel my contract) since I have enough proof of fund for my first year and maintenance, can I declare myself as the sponsor of my study, since I no more receive salary pending my application process, will it have any effect facing the embassy? Or must I have a sponsor? Pls assist me with answers. God bless! |

Good morning everyone, congratulations in advance. My BVL dropped on Saturday but no ppr yet. Should I raise web forms and send emails? I have a valid visitor visa and I have a feeling that they will tell me to travel with that and send me LOI. Thank you so much for your reply 1 Like |

Good morning everyone, please I need a clarification on this: My husband and I have a joint Bank account with Zenith which we've been operating since 2013, and it is this account we normally use to save up and execute family projects. This account has a closing balance of 18m and we had intended to present it as a funding account for my study. Now, Zenith is saying Mybankstatement CANNOT be generated for such account(joint account)or even a corporate account. Like seriously? At this critical moment that am 80% ready to submit my application? Can someone with a knowledge of how these things work(in the banking system) explain please cos this is crazy. My head has been spinning since yesterday and I dont know where to go from here. Somebody help me |

Benbooms:First, if you already have undergraduate admission offer why still ask for the list? Secondly, why go for another undergraduate program when you already have a degree? The space in between won't be a problem as long as you explain "thoroughly" what you did between that time(I want to believe you were busy getting your BSc. at the time). My advice to you will be to apply for post graduate admission (Masters or PGD) then use the offer to apply for your visa. If you decide to still go for your present offer(undergraduate) you will have to explain a lot of things and that will lead you to tell lies(which will hunt you in future). So think wisely. N.B: Apply for post graduate admission and your path to securing your visa will be less stressful |

illocution:You can use your in-law as sponsor, but let him show commitment by paying your tuition fee (if your school accepts payment before resumption and their return policy favours you), then transfer your living expenses into your personal account. If sending the entire fund to your sister is what you prefer, then you need to show your sister is financially capable of sponsoring you beyond your first year(if you program is for more than a year), by showing her source of income (business, job payslip etc..). Since you don't have much time, I will prefer the first option 1 Like |

Inestimable61:Since your application has exceeded the 20 days NSE time you can send an email to IRCC showing proof of your lessons. Though you are not supposed to register for any course without securing your TRV, so your mail should be well structured (don't be too persuasive). Good luck 1 Like |

oyibo4real:If you can't get my bank statement you can ask for the regular statement of account (it will be enough). So, don't beat yourself. Just upload the regular SOA and you are good to go. N.B: Hope you have a letter from your husband authorizing you to use the said fund for your education? I mean, your husband needs to write a letter of support stating he is aware and sponsoring you. 3 Likes |

olasubomy: I also miss the deadline for my school too but what can we do. If the money doesn't arrive on time to the CIBC, most times it may not arrive in full. Meaning CIBC may charge some little interest on it. |

Godsent200:Not mentioning your current status means you have to tell the vo what you have been doing after graduating from secondary school (I want to believe it's been at least 3 years since you left secondary school). So, do you have anything to say to cover that? if not then you have to declare your current status and explain that due to some unforseen issues you couldn't concentrate on your studies, that's why your family wants to send you outside so you use that opportunity to avoid the distractions you had in Nigeria. And you hope to perform better this time |

mcobex: Thank you so much for your prompt response as always. Yes, he stated that in his sworn affidavit of support and we also have a reference letter from the bank. Please will the SOA serve as Mybankstatement since they always request for the later even after submitting SOA? Ps: Am applying via the NSE route, hence the need for the MBS |

oyibo4real:My bank statement is the same thing as the normal SOA, just that it is more digital (like the vo uses the password to access your account details, while the normal SOA is manual). Since your bank is part the banks in the Mybankstement platform, all you need do is explain to the vo that banks don't issue Mybankstement for joint account and you are good. 2 Likes |
