In my first year in sch(Uniben)...i had this friend Paul(not real name),who actually was my first friend nd was also my coursemate,there was this girl (Isabella)he met and started dating.
Fast forward to almost the end of the semester paul's girlfriend cousin,who i think was supposed to ve graduated 3 or 4 yrs bk came around guess to write a spill over course.
So isabella introduced paul to her big cousin nd before you knw it ,they were getting on well...nd paul is a guy who likes cruise like driving etc nd was so happy cos Isabella's cousin came around in a benz.
Paul came to class the next day telling me Isabella's cousin na big boy o,if you see his car blah blah dat he even drove it all through yesterday..i was like oh thats cool...
I stayed off campus Bdpa precisely as at then paul stayed in the sch hostel.....i do visit him often in his hostel after classes .
So a day after finishing exams ,i visited paul in his hostel where we cooked,ate nd chilled before Isabella's cousins num came through that he was coming to pauls hostel to check on him,i was like ok let me even see this dude self for the very first time so i waited a while.

I mistakenly dropped my sch bag in his car which i shdnt ve.
So as we got to the door,he knocked nd the door was opened,with about 6 guys inside, air-condition was on ,the atmosphere was filled with smoke from the marijuana bn smoked..so i and paul sat dwn... immediately my brain started reading what the hell am i doing here,i immediately knew this was a set up but still kept my peace.
In matter of seconds Isabella's cousin stood up nd said he thinks we needed more drinks nd left with one other guy we met there...in my mind i was like God shd just see me thru this,i immediately stepped on Paul's leg nd gave him a sign that we ve bn setup but he saw it as bn impossible that nothing dey happen.
I begin to brain storm of hw to leave immediately before i was brought bk to reality when a guy lying dwn on the bed cleard his throat nd said Na me dem dey call royal majesty nd he get reason why i say make them bring una come..i almost died from my heart beat cos it was pumping real fast..anoda stood up to shut the door properly..it was a very large room without any other door in sight,so i felt the toilet must be outdoor...so i came up with bros abeg i need use toilet i need piss badly,they said no prob i wld see a bush behind the house.. immediately i came out i felt so relieved,i went to hide behind a house 3 buildings away,there were no boundaries separating these houses.
So i began to call paul wanting to tell him to find a way of coming out of there but he wasn't picking up,i called nd called nt until they now called me bk that were was i,i shd come bk..then dey came out of the house including paul ,from afar i cld see them.
As they were raising voices on paul, Isabella's cousin came bk with the other guy nd were told wat i just did,they bagan to shout on paul ,what kind of friend is that this nd dat,i became so scare, if not for my bag i would ve long gone so i tot..
Things were beginning to get heated up,so i came out,acting like nothing happened.
I was asked where i went ,i said i went to pee,they were now matching towards me while i was gradually walking backwards to take off any time.
Seems dey noticed nd stopped nd said lets go inside i was bent on my words which was 'if we must do any thing,let it be done outside' I'm not going in there again,they began to raise voices at me,i wasnt moved an inch as i stood my grounds they agreed ,we stayed outside ,poured drink into our various cups(i didnt drink mine) was just acting like i was whereas my paul kept drinking nd drinking even became drunk,i den noticed more men came around.
I told Isabella's cousin i wanted to go home that i needed my bag from the car,he began to shout what kind of person i am,i just came to disgrace him in the presence of his friends that he was trying to makup for some wrongs he did he never wants to see me in his life again blah blah..after all that he still dropped me at uniben's maingate,nd repeated that he never wants to see me again in his life nd drove bk with paul...i was like who wld ever want to see such person again....i traveled home the very next day gisted some of my friends who were like i shd be very careful they might still come for me later but funny enough they never did nd as for paul i called nd askd if he went bk there after they drooped me at maingate,he said yes that noting happened that they were just yabbing nd using me to catch cruise that i no get mind,say chicken get mind pass me.

A lot of Police men have been compromised. The tactical units of the police tbh helped in fighting criminals head on and kept them on their toes. I spoke about the DSS cos I felt they may be more tougher on these rogue elements and keep them at bay.

From the continuation of my last initiation story. Given the SN Aye Julius Nyerere, we were told that from that night, everything that touches anyone of us automatically touches them and everybody present that night. The reason is we fight against oppression and a slap is just like a form of oppression, then we mk use of our axe to be freed.
For instance, if something hits B it automatically hits all of us. This we were made to know. That was what we were made to know that "a cry for one is a cry for all men".
After removing the veil from my eyes, I was able to recognise only a few people I knew during my few stay in school. Few from my sec. school days.

I got home very early in the day on Saturday morning, I felt so weak I had to stay at home for 3 wks I was various drugs from the beatings I received that night. I still have a visible mark on my left arm just few cm above my elbow. There was a particular initiation ceremony I went to during my stay at the school, two couldn't make it alive I later learnt that one just had a year left to conclude, the later who was a fresher was asthmatic, unknown to anyone and his LM. He gave up the ghost as he was gasping for breath. A particular aye (medical student) tried what he could but nothing was good enough for him. They both died and were buried that night.
I thanked my stars that I was able to scale through in my own time. You can't keep running away till you get blended properly and note that you won't be able to recognise everyone in a bonfire setting. Your eyes were shut for so long and you've been beaten your brain cells are so weak.
NBM ceremony then was usually a big ceremony due to the fact that we don't get bursted by Police as we keep changing venues if they were slight disturbances from the neighborhood. So if a ceremony is to hold, it would be once and scheduled most times some Forums around join in the initiation.

Let me relate an incident.

I came home one if the holidays and as usual news has reached my house that I am a cultist in school. So everyone was avoiding me even my friends at home. Na so this guy who has been impersonating eiye walked up to me one day and we started discussing.

From angle 90 to slave trade to ju camp to procession AND THEN INITIATION PROPER. You can VIP yourself so you wont receive Mending at the JU CAMP but you must pass through the initiation process and the initiation process takes place in the circle with candles arranged like the shape of a coffin . All other process are part of the initiation but the most important is what takes place at the circle. This is the reason the OP said even if them ju mend you finish for ju camp, them go fit still chase you out of the ceremony without being an Axe man . What your money can buy for you in leniency at the JU camp but you must crawl into the circle. Again there is corner bamming , this is usually don in a secluded area and its a fake initiation ceremony and this is usually done for the main purpose of extorting you . If other AYES Catch you , your own don finish.
