Obianuju Catherine Udeh, popularly known as DJ Switch, has slammed the Lagos state government over the order it recently secured from a mobile court to auction 88 cars seized from traffic offenders in the state.

On Monday, January 18, the Chairman of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit, CSP Shola Jejeloye, announced that the unit had secured a Court Order from the state mobile court authorising it to publicly auction the vehicles from residents found guilty of contravening the One-Way Traffic Law. He disclosed that the public auction would hold in line with COVID-19 protocols on Wednesday, 20th of January, 2021, at the Agency's Car Park (Behind Shoprite), Alausa, Ikeja. Read here.

Reacting to this development, DJ Switch who gained international attention when she 'covered' the gunshot incident at the Lekki tollgate on October 20, slammed the state government for taking such an action when it could have fined the offenders or sent them to jail.

She berated celebrities for not speaking up against this decision by the state government to auction the cars of the traffic offenders.

''I am very certain that a lot of these people that thier cars are there are crying out but nobody knows them. Where are our celebrities? Where are our influencers? You have so many followers''she said

''The government didn't even come up with creative ways to distract us and we are distracted. We have still not seen any noteworthy person go to jail over Lekki. What happened? No fewer than four persons have been confirmed dead when the owner of a Lexus Jeep driving against traffic in the Lekki area of Lagos State rammed into a fully loaded commercial bus.

The incident happened at about 6:49am on Sunday.

According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, at the 1st Gate inward Oriental Hotel along Lekki-Epe Expressway.

According to the General Manager of LASEMA, Tiamiyu Adesina, investigation carried out by the Agency’s Response Team on getting to the scene of the incident revealed that a Lexus Jeep GX470, with registration number KJA 615 DF, plying one way, ran into a commercial bus, with registration number KRE 302 XA, that was just cleared by the ticketing officers at the toll gate.

Those that died were three adult male and an adult female.

Sixteen others, made up of four adult female and 12 adult male, were severely injured.

This is what I don't get about the so called Nigerian youths and the lost, destructive, lawless and misguided Sorosoke loudmouths, they lied and spread dangerous fake news and propaganda that destroyed Lagos state, destroyed jobs, destroyed businesses and decimated the IGR base while demanding a better country when in fact they are the most destructive and lawless people in Nigeria.

Now we have lawless mentality youths and hypocrites rioting and demanding a better country, but simple laws and reflections of a better, sane and orderly society they can not obey, abide by or even support.

People don't drive against traffic in sane and orderly societies not only because they know that it's very dangerous and deadly, but also against the law and it comes with serious repercussions.

Most of the one-way traffic offenders are danfo drivers. They drive against traffic with impunity especially if they have uniformed men as passengers. I have seen this happening severally.
