This is what I don't get about the so called Nigerian youths and the lost, destructive, lawless and misguided Sorosoke loudmouths, they lied and spread dangerous fake news and propaganda that destroyed Lagos state, destroyed jobs, destroyed businesses and decimated the IGR base while demanding a better country when in fact they are the most destructive and lawless people in Nigeria.

Now we have lawless mentality youths and hypocrites rioting and demanding a better country, but simple laws and reflections of a better, sane and orderly society they can not obey, abide by or even support.

People don't drive against traffic in sane and orderly societies not only because they know that it's very dangerous and deadly, but also against the law and it comes with serious repercussions.

tribalism is in there blood

But Lagos state action is repulsive and absolutely out of order, it could promote dangerous attack on government assets and staff just like the anini saga. It is provoking

lmao..

So, we should just throw our laws inside shalanga because criminals could attack the government for enforcing the law or even doing their job and what we put them in office to do.

This is the most insane post in this thread so far..

Lol...one would have taken you seriously but look at your failed life na...you took your time to create a moniker for the sole aim of trolling igbos. I think you already realized you are a joke to people around you hence your efforts to keep trolling a tribe online...when you get offline, dont forget to carry placards and show your hate to the igbos. It won't make sense you hate igbos online and dont show same hate in your failed life outside here...the joke is on you cheesy

i kinda agree with her because the panacea for headache is not cutting the head off. Selling out cars of defaulters wont solve the problem. Even selling of the car process isn't a transparent one. it will only breed more corruption cos on one side, this officers that impound vehicle will begin racketeering among themselves on the best cars through proxies and profiting. On another side, these defaulters just set unknowing drivers off the right way just to get a hefty happy weekend sir. All these government official are all party members especially lastma, vio, environmental enforcement units, safety official, infact all of them are all members of the ruling party and they abuse the positions they have to extort knowing they can always run to their party leaders to intercede for them, afterall, they rely on them during the elections.

The leaders in government also are not left out, they make the laws and break them cos they are the laws. So are their party leaders. if someone like MC is on the road and he is stuck in traffic, you think he doesn't use one way? who would stop him when the people that going to stop them are their pawns in the party!

Everybody use spy police, tinted glass and all sorts to break the law and you expect the regular citizens to care? them will be like, no be only una sabi this thing. All those commercial buses are largely owned by these union guys, how many of them do they impound? Even government careless about providing the proper infrastructure for them and enforcing such cos they are not the target, its the private citizens but private citizens cant watch commercial drivers behave anyhow and they are not motivated to do same. At the end of the day, sell their cars, monies that citizens don't feel or see the impact!

Government should be practical in their solutions and there are so many solutions to this than selling the car. Even the fines, government needs to be transparent with the process. Government being honest in their corrective system is a good start.

yes it's a good idea, if dey auction their vehicles in front of dem next time they will think twice before breaking traffic rules

Its not only one link, There were several links: I just picked the first and I even reduced her worth to an "assumed" one twentieth and it still came to N16,000,000 which is not joke in Nigeria.

At least I showed a verifiable link showing that she is a woman of means. List one link showing she is a "failed" DJ or she is living in poverty or she is bankrupt.
Just give me one verifiable link to counter several "rubbish on the internet" that I found.

When a participant in a debate begins to go personal, it is obvious who won.

Lagos State Road Traffic Law 2012

In that case, the offenders should have been more careful. I think a lot of Nigerians need to do a refresher driving course (for road rules). Its harsh, but hey, that is the rule.

Edited to add; Lagos State Road Traffic Law 2012 has been updated to not impound vehicles for one way driving

Thanks anyways

Go and educate yourself properly and stop taking rubbish. Nobody is going to sell your car for not using a seatbelt. Offenses varies and penalties varies. If you drive against traffic, your car would be impounded and sold off. In other countries, such cars are completely crushed.

You're speaking jargon! I've lived in the USA for over a decade now and your cars are not crushed or auctioned unless you failed to show up to court and pay your fine or serve your sentence. Driving one way, driving without license, driving without seatbelts are all considered misdemeanors and before your property can be sold, there are other remedies proferred....Stop spewing jargon!

2019 updated. vehicle is not impounded

If the penalty for going above speed limit or not wearing seat belt is impounding and losing your car, then so be it, it's about the law, not about your feelings or opinion.

Obey the law.

Can you show me where the penalty for driving one way in Lagos is forfeiture of your vehicle? Yes vehicle can be impounded but you are usually given a chance to bail them out by paying a fine or going to court and satisfyig the conditions of the court. No governor can come out and unilaterally issue a decree to start impounding and selling assets, its unconstitutional!

what laws, pls be reasonable and sensitive. Sanwoolu is one of the best governors so far, he shouldn't get himself stained with no-sense and provoking robbery that will reduce his rating. Most of the vehicles are not owned by caught drivers who have no responsibility of the consequences of their action

He who has never taken one way let him cast the first stone.

Even the d.j don take one way many times

I be dispatch. I take one way. I take b.r.t . If it's open, if there is traffick, I take it. Na God hand we de.

The goverment no build road, expand or renovate existing ones. The traffick start from fadeyi reach ikorodu. Customers de call me non stop. Dispatcher" pls were my goods.

I take b.r.t.

Lasma hold me. I pay 10k.

I curse them. Swear for their mama while I de beg them at thesame time.

But I turn to myself. .. I say "you self you be Mumu ooo... Why you no exercise patience.

10k go just like that.

Again he who has not pass one way let him cast the first stone.

But to the Lagos goverment. There should have been more mercy in your heart given that the roads are nothing to write home about. And people are in a hurry to meet up appointments.

This is one reason this nation is underdeveloped
Auctioning off people's car is barbaric and backward

Why not send them to jail 6 months, 1 year, 2 3 or even 5 years

Most of the laws just shows
Stark wickedness

Nation's that are developed don't have barbaric inhumane law's
They have laws that respect the dignity of man

And as long as these basic law's are not humane development will be far from this clime

That's why our best brains are being harvester by these nations with humane laws
