u planted in sack right and u also make use of chicken dung. I have seen post here saying chicken dung is not ideal for sack cos of the heat it generate. Well, I planted nandini too hoping it won't be bitter. Planted on land tor

It appears the much desired Greengo is getting out of reach.

I'll like to hear your views and those of other gurus in the house about Darina F1.

they main trigger of bitterness in cucumbers during dry season is heat,if you can control it,you will not have bitter cucumbers, that is why it is advices to use drip irrigation during for ease of irrigation, you can even irrigate 3 or more times a day, especially from 12noon to 2 pm height of sun blast, give them 30 minutes of drip water within that period and also 15 minutes by8am to 10am in the morning,in our farm if light is on during afternoon we leave the drip on for hours,it is impossible to get bitter cucumbers if you water your crops well,

they will bear fruit to eternity

nonsense and ingredient

Bananas are crazy lots as they a tough to grow sha but my advice is that you go and learn sucker multiplication then find the corm of the desired bananas you want
corms are the base of the mother plant. get a good quality corm and carry out your sucker multiplication. though I would also like to learn it on other to multiply some of the valerie and cavendish banana in my mama compound for Lagos for my expansion

Kilode

soursop 3k
avocados 3k

@ Op no oooo say I dey detail this wonderful thread dat guy just dey vex me
simply lick your soursop and avocado, nurse your seeds for atleast 3 month then transplant to the field with the exception of the avocado that might be grafted to reduce the time of production, which is the only advantage, direct seed planting for avocado comes to fruition In 3 and half years and soursop in 4years I know this because I am currently carrying out a practical field experiment on those two crops and I have a friend who currently has about 1000 stands of soursop at different stages of fruiting, flowering and growth stages as they were not planted at the same time and 200 stands and counting of avocado also at different stages of fruiting flowering and growth

Nice one boss

Talking about the plantain suckers.... If I plant a Tissue culture Sucker... Will the offspring suckers growing around it still remain a Tissue culture sucker or just a normal one

Because I was intending on buying suckers yearly so as to have an improved variety

what we have is nigeria is not tissue culture suckers but sucker multiplication through corm of mother plant with desirable traits and yes it remains a normal sucker

tissue culture is for labs and research institute for experimental purposes

I've been seeing Adverts of the Tissue culture sucker giving Uniform Harvest and people purchasing it from all these Research Institutes.

Will I still get the same Uniform Harvests in the other seasons from it's Offshooters(suckers growing around it the mother plantain)

I will be blunt as I can be, no matter the grammar they speak you will never get uniform harvest with either Plantain or banana.... never

first to produce are the runners at month nine followed be the others spanning a 16month period. run away from them. This are the words for a researcher from NIHORT not me

you will get suckers round the mother plant and depending on good GAP, age of sucker and enough water, fruiting should start from month 9

Please let's not derail this thread

The females will show up in a few days time, don't be worried! If the farm isn't big, and your crops are healthy, I would say if you walk around inspecting by tomorrow, you may likely spot some female flowers
