Wetin concern agbero with overload.

Of what good will that do?
Will Google play store, or App store block them for poor rating??
Atleast people who are downloading this app will see the poor reviews wic may directly or indirectly affect the company

This is another justification that ratings doesn't wait till u hv completed 40 trips even my own jacked up from 4.83 to 4.88 in space of 3 days because i was careful abt my cancellation

grin

Theres something I'm starting to notice though I'm not sure yet. Once you end a trip and your rating drops, the the previous rider was responsible.

Let's say your rating was 4.95 and you took rider A from Ayobo to Iyana Ipaja. You ended the trip and your rating remains at 4.95. Then you took rider B from Iyana Ipaja to Ayobo and as soon as you ended the trip, your rating drops to 4.90.

No matter how good you think the trip with rider A is, he's most likely responsible for the drop in rating.

They've been telling you that cancelation of trips affects rating here since, but you've refused to accept.

Canceling a trip before 5mins after swiping arrived affects ratings a lot. This is seasonal with bolt.

I experienced it 2019 xmas season. And this 2020 xmas.
I guess they haven't removed it yet.

If you doubt it, accept a trip, swipe arrived, wait for 3mins (not the normal 5mins waiting time) and then cancel.
Do this 4times a day for 3days, lets see if your rating will not go below 4.5.

I get Ur point bruv, but do u know ideally and legally ehailing is not for pacel deliveries but passengers. The person u carried at a point in time is ur client not your app account holder cos d app is just a bridge to bring a passenger and a driver together. Lets use a normal and popular scenario where u call a bike man to come carry ur babe go where she go enter bus, the babe is the passenger not you that called the bike man.

Like i said earlier, d Driver over heard something and he felt to let the account owner know which if he didn’t call him nothing still spoil.

I've been following this topic and I'm surprise you of all person can articulate things like this.

I once had an experience which I shared here last year how a military personnel and I had an issue along Oba-Akran, Ikeja. The rider i was with on that particular day was a 3rd party rider and after all the set and done I reported to Uber and Uber call me the next day to get more detail. Now, do you know that uber compensated me on that trip? Even with the 3k rider paid to me? I've deleted my uber app, else i would have shown you the reply uber sent base on the rider's(3rd party) aspect in terms of compensation.

According to what they sent me, they can't compensate the actual rider since it's a 3rd party ride, and also, the amount I collected from the rider they also can't justify the actual amount collected because they could only reachout to the owner of the account, though they called the owner of the account to confirm the accident and to know if every thing was fine.

So the thing is, driver's and riders are always held accountable for anything relating to any trip and not the 3rd party rider.

I don't understand where or how you bring in your okada analogy from, its really absurd, disrespectful and dishuman to how you compare e-hailing and okada in this regard.grin

As for packages, it is required of the driver to apply his wisdom but such a driver should understand that so long h/s has agreed to go on a trip be it a 1st or 3rd party ride, or a package he(driver) will be held accountable should he be find wanting.

So should any item be found on your car? what is expected of you as a driver is return it to the one that ordered the ride or drop it at the app company's office address then the person can come pick it up with the telephone number attached to the account as a means of identification. Otherwise, a sworn affidavit that that item belongs to h/h.

If this trip in question was to be an Uber trip I see no means the driver would have been able to contact the rider after the trip as ended unless he can trace the number that called him as at the time of pickup which is not even the due process and that is if and only if there was a phone conversation. The due process is to contact uber or Bolt stating "rider forgot and item". Then driver will be contact on the next step to take.

As a matter of fact drivers are prohibited from contacting riders after trips have ended. If there's anything? Contact your partner which could either be uber or bolt.

Guys can you help me call this number( +2347082033163) and ask him to please send the agreed money, this guy crushed my side mirror and because I was on a ride I was being a gentle man, we agreed that he will pay part of it. Now he's refusing to pick the call after promising to pay. He's also a driver, I can't drive since morning and there he is moving freely.

Who brought the drinks into the car? The girls

Why not just call them and initiate a return, if possible? Why call the invisible person that ordered the ride.

In my opinion, Davit kinda complicated things. If it was me, I'm calling those girls and that's it. They brought it in the car Afterall.

Anything I tell you about bolt rating, take it as the gospel truth. Trust me, I have demystified the rating system and can easily manipulate it. Infact bolt pays me money to increase my own rating( Please don't ask me how)

Let me tell you exactly why people think cancellation affects ratings.

Dunfortunate48 picks someone to Isolo, the rider gives him three stars but he does not know. He cancels his next three requests before he eventually gets one with destination close to his house so he takes it.

As he ends the trip, he noticed his rating has dropped and he thinks it has to do with the cancellations before the final trip.

The scenario above mirrors most peoples experiences.

This thing is not hard, it is a case of discretion. Account or no account, my oga @Davit only call d man based on brother code and it's ok. What if this happen to b a phone belonging to the girl? Are we going to b debating who should get the phone back or not?

The only reason my first post of this topic was subtle is because I know Davit have the right to drop the drinks at Bolt office. Case closed, the person that book the ride is the only one that can claim the item at such point.

Dropping it at Bolt's office comes with a price too...Your fuel and time

If na me, I'll just call the girls and let them arrange for a pickup. No long talk

We can always assume that they stole it, but then there are three sides to a story. What if it's their own way to get back at him? Let's not assume sha grin

Me will not intentionally go, unless I find myself close to Bolt office. I once picked a rider ard Surulere, she really messed up that day by wasting my time and gave this attitude of shabi my money is reading. My novice days, I was just taking her from one place to another within Lere, as fate would have it, she forgot 2 products she went to get from Bismid. When she called and I notice she's not ready to part with anything for return trip, I told her whenever I'm ard her neighbourhood, she will get her stuff. 3 days gone, I'm yet to get a trip to Lere, this Lady called and threatened to report... I told her about having option to drop it in Bolt's office, so she can as well go to the office, cos I'll drop her items dia. That was the end of Solomon, I didn't bother myself going to anywhere and she stopped calling as well.

I can't agree to this.. If the riders had brought in drugs to the car and forgot it. If you're held at a check point, believe me

1. Uber will have no business with the rider.
2. The first person you'd call is the owner of the account what booked the ride.
3. Police has no business with who entered the car. (Its your words against theirs).
4. Account owner will/might deny you (Here you'll now rely solely on Uber app to prove your case).
5. Remember its a card trip, hence goods and services belonged to account owner.

So if you're not returning it to the account owner. DRINK IT!

God let this cup no pass over me.

I once picked a rider inside Thomas Estate. A 3rd party trip, after attitude known to our female colleagues. She later forgot her samsung phone in my car. I didn't even know because she sat at the back. It was when the owner of the account called me like 20mins later I looked back and saw the phone. Told him it will cost her 2800 to get it at Iyana Oworo. Which was same fee the ride cost.

The guy said i should settle that with the lady. Lady begin para say I be thief and all that. I just weak. She come begin speak those Warri slangs for me wey me Benin Boy. I tell am say make she no worry she go see her phone for Effurun. After 3 days she called and after much famzing I sent the phone via dispatch bike to her.

So you see, first person to call is the ACCOUNT OWNER! Make no mistakes about that. The ehailing companies has almost zero concern with the 3rd party rides.

From a rider perspective, the account holder/who ORDERED the ride is your client. If it was children you were sent to drop, are the children your client? If anything goes wrong, the account holder is who Uber holds, also if you rate the trip, they're the only ones you can rate so THEY are your clients. Anything left behind should go to the account holder to settle the rest from there because your CONTRACT is with the ACCOUNT HOLDER.

EDIT: this is only an argument because cash is allowed in Nigeria. Elsewhere where cash is not allowed, account holder gets billed and you have no business with any third party. You can't even deviate from the route account holder set with stops or anything like that. The account holder has to add the stop in the app.

If the man calls back, I will ask him make an arr9for the delivery too. So, na who dey ready to arrange for the delivery go get the drinks. I even noticed that one of them has been drunk to half.
