6.2m after tuition is enough to cater for both the remaining of your tuition and 10k CAD living expenses. What's wrong with this people sef RichieJayy: |

Makah00:Reason why you need to package your MASTERS ADMISSION APPLICATION well before submitting, even those other applicants with much higher CGPA might not get the admission if they fail to do their due diligence. Apart from - University Transcript - Academic Curriculum Vitae (CV) Most Universities do require their applicants to submit a - Convincing Personal Statement or Letter of Intent or Statement for Purpose And the Admission Selection Committee of these schools do make use of this Letter of Intent as a deciding factor to know if an applicants will be successful in getting the Admission or not. 1 Like |

femredhead:If you are sponsoring yourself then you have to show funds to cover the entire duration of your program because you are not supposed to work while studying (even if you do it won't be enough to cover for your fees as you are only allowed to work around 20hrs/week). But if you have a sponsor then he/she needs to show available fund for at least the first year then show means of getting funds to cover subsequent years. |

Good Afternoon House I'm looking to apply for a Master's Programme in Canada. But before I begin the process I'll like to know if Canada does Extensive Immigration/ Background check for Student visa applicants. I don't have a Criminal record in Nigeria. But I had one in the Uk and was also deported a few years ago. If I don't state that I have traveled to the UK. Would Canadian immigration find out about my Criminal record and Deportation? |

oyebode11:Canada,UK, Newzealand,USA, Australia are best friends and jolly good fellow they share information so if you don't declare it that you have travelled to the UK they might find out that's part of the Background check and information sharing processes please declare it and be at peace with yourself then pray about it!!!.You can explain in the LOE what happened and if it's no fault of yours then they might not use it against you at time's saying the truth and declare it as it is works in one's favour but most importantly ask God to take control!!! 5 Likes |

oyebode11:Yes they would find out, and you not mentioning it in your application will complicate things the more. The information in the links below confirms that https://www.quora.com/Does-the-UK-and-Canada-share-immigration-info-Why https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/info-sharing-explained.537342/ 1 Like |

oyebode11:Yes they do, so it is better you declare it and tell them how the said issue came about. What kind of criminal activity was it that got you deported? If it is something you can explain then you might be considered, but if not I doubt they will allow you into Canada. But it is better you declare it and try to explain your reasons behind it and let them know times have changed since then, if you don't declare they will eventually know and that's around 5 years ban and makes your cases even more complicated |
