Covenant University is a private institution. They can impose whatever code of dressing they like. Think Nigga!

Here in Jos, a "Christian state", I was stopped at the gate because I wore Jean trousers and t-shirt. I didn't argue with them because I felt it is their own way of curbing indecent dressing.

Musa, haba! Covenant University is a Faith based institution. Jesus preached Love to everybody including those of opposing Faith. He specifically taught us to love them and relate with them. At Canaan Land or Redemption Camp and any other Christian camp, nobody will turn a lady back because of Hijab except those with total coverage of face (purdah ) which I am yet to confirm. Faith based institutions may require person within the vicinity to conform to tenets of their Faith.

The Northerners see Federal government institutions as Northern institutions. You find them at NPA, Customs, everywhere. MDAs are public institutions and not Islamic Institutions.

It is exactly like asking a customer to dress in a particular manner before walking into a mall. The govt officials are the workers and you are the customer, it is their job to serve you regardless of the cloth you wear. Let's call a spade a spade, what they did was bad.
