CAC INTRODUCES E-CERTIFICATES by OakConsultNG: 5:03pm On Jan 04, 2021 |
While it is no longer news that the Corporate Affairs Commission shut down its portal for an upgrade for an adaptation to the latest CAMA 2020 recently passed into law, the Commission had recently introduced new features along with this upgrade, in a bid to make its services more customer friendly. The new CAC website is up and running. Applicants will now get e-certificates. No more pickup locations. Applicants will now upload electronic signature and passport photographs, no more printing out first before you sign and scan (EDMS). Introducing E-Certificate A major and remarkable feature of the new system is the introduction of E-certificate. The commission has introduced and adopted issuance of E-certificate as against the former manual system where customers have to walk into the Commission to pick up the certificate of registrations and incorporation of all entities How it works now Upon completion of the registration of any entity on the portal, your registration is approved by the Commission seamlessly, the certificate is automatically generated to your dashboard where you can download at your convenience. Notable changes made to the certificate. The CAC logo at the top is now changed to the Nigerian Coat of Arms for all entities. The CAC logo is moved down to the bottom of the certificate as a seal. For Incorporated Trustees, the notes and caution on the certificates are removed. Introducing E-Status Report The commission has introduced a document format called E-status report to replace the CAC forms issued upon new registration/incorporation of all entities. The E-status report will now replace the Form CAC 1.1 for company registration, BN 1 for Business name registration, IT form 1 for Incorporated Trustees. There is also advance search, where you can view company's address, follow the company and view her past data. Introducing Electonic Document Management System (EDMS) In addition to the efficient features and improved innovation on the new version of Company Registration Portal (CRP), the Commission has introduced the use of EDMS. What is EDMS? An electronic document management system (EDMS) is a system for receiving, organizing, tracking and storing different kinds of documents. This type of system is an efficient storage system that helps users to organize and store paper or digital documents. EDMS refers to a software system that handles digital documents as well as scanned versions of original paper documents. The electronic document management system provides a way to centrally store a large volume of digital documents and reduces paper. The system also includes features for efficient document retrieval Why EDMS? The EDMS will allow users to directly upload their document on the portal during registration/Incorporation or filing of post-incorporation processes. Without having to log in to a separate document upload portal. This will optimise the registration and filling process, save time and make the Company Registration Portal more user friendly. The specific documentation for original storage protocols is a major part of what makes an electronic document management system so valuable and why it has been chosen to make the use of the portal easy and efficient. With the former system, customers have to logout and login to a separate site to upload their document. With EDMS integrated into the new system, customers will upload documents directly on their portal while filling for registration. Customers will no longer require to download documents sign it before uploading. Signatures, passport photo where necessary are now easily uploaded directly during registration within the same portal. It is however important to have experienced accredited agents like OakShire Consults to guide you through seamless registrations and incorporations. This is a very good development, Nigeria would be better, I still have that believe...the world is moving digital and it cut a cross all sector.... One area the Government should emphasise is on youth development in ICT. This can greatly reduce poverty and unemployment to a large extent.... I have been preaching and I would still continue to state that, there is a million dollar online business called "Affilliate Marketing" If alots of youth, unemployed, underemployed, or seekers of more revenue and financial freedom seekers, can seek the knowledge and tap into this online business, they would finally be free from financial difficulty forever. My Secrete Affilliate Marketing system Mentorship video training program is up....In this training I show to you how you can be making consistent $500 Weekly Promoting Affiliates offers using Instagram and Twitter without Any Single Followers..... This is an underground traffic system that alots of gurus don't want you to know about, but my video mentorship is up...and it's for selected people.... contact me on whatsApp to opt-in for this Affiliate marketing training... vpaymoney: The 250,000 Free Business Names registration scheme had ended. But then, the delay in processing it may be occasioned by the migration to the new portal, and its attendant technical hitches. However, do send a mail to the CAC for further clarifications. 2 Likes 1 Share |
