Why not take 1000 Naira from the 500000 loan you are going to give to them?

After the training you can give them 499000 as the interest-free loan.

I don't know why we like to fleece fellow human beings through dubious means.

If you want to train people in order to help them acquire useful skills for free then train them for free.

Go access Bank of Agric loan, Mocrofinance bank loan, Nirsal bank loan or any CBN loan for free. There is a reason why there are laid down rules and requirements to fulfill.

If you leave everything for free for Nigerians:

1) The purpose of issueing that loan wouldn't be achieved because they will divert the money into personal use

2)Your chance of getting the loan back is zero

This opportunity isn't for everyone because not everybody you see walking on the street has where they are going.

Let me give you one scenario sir, we have monthly target of snail we export sir, and the demand must be met.

Is it not a wise decision to raise more people who can go into snail rearing and help them sell through export. It's a win win because they will get better price for the snail in the international market.

Presently, our slime extraction machine is on the way which cost us around #40m. It will be in Ibadan. Those who we train can bring their snail to extract the slime without killing the snail. They can do this 3times a year and the snail will be fine. You can do your research, the price of snail slime in the international market.

We don't just train people, we have selected some agric business we know there is established market for, we train them and connect them to the market.

Remember, the government can't do everything, you and I have roles to play. Small businesses and cottage industries are the bedrock of any vibrant economy.

I believe you heard about the over #5billion naira snail farm in Ekiti state that was inaugorated just recently. It's was accomplished by a private establishment. We need more of things like this to make Nigeria work again through agriculture.
