The difference between oga umahi and them, is that those leaders have experienced experts on their side. If you wish for a project and have the money, most of your people are capable to do it. In Nigeria, you will go and find expatriates to help you do it. I don't totally blame regular nigerians for not having expertise because of the mismanagement of the educational system.



Ebonyi was a hardcore village not that long ago, oga umahi has been doing modernization of city and rural areas. If he was just stealing money alone or just doing 20% of budget projects, ebonyi will still be far away. He has been modernizing. You can only imagine the miracle he would be doing if he had like Lagos, rivers, or kano type of finances. He has surpassed many states in Nigeria in terms of developmental rate and purpose.



Anambra state is unique in that, in the whole Nigeria, Anambra and other neighboring states, but mostly Anambra people build their own thing. A regular person or group of persons in anambra can just get permit and build their street road or buy transformer or other things. Even something like this bridge would have been built by regular people. I like that guts sometimes but it makes the leaders feel empowered to loot. That is why it is difficult to judge anambra leadership. I wish the leaders do their part, that way the people can use that building money to improve their business or personal life.
