The real safeguard is ensuring only Coronavirus-free patients are attended to, except of course, they are actually Covid-19 patients being admitted for treatment.

It's because of our very low testing levels we are not seeing the enormity of the people that have contracted the virus in Nigeria.
I bet if the real numbers are known,of the number of people with the virus,a second lockdown would have been ordered.

There is no treatment for Covid 19. An infected person is required to self isolate till the period of infectivity is over. For covid 19, it is purportedly reported that a person is no longer infectious after 14 days of having the virus.
Therefore, If you have a strong immune system. It fights of the virus, most people in this category are asymptomatic. So they don't even know they carry the virus but they keep on spreading it around.
*Period of Infectivity: This is when the infected person can transmit the virus to another person.

Virtually all viruses leave lasting damage to organs, some benign and some serious. That is why it is important NOT TO GET INFECTED. Studies into the long term prognosis is on.
