My principle is that I don't keep friends. So if I'm not busy working, I will spend every of my free time at home. I believe a spouse should be one's best friend. As time goes by, she became manipulative. But I hate that thing because I'm a liberal person -- I won't Lord it over you and you must not Lord it over me. I wonder when most of you will know that all women, or men, aren't the same ethically. Your wife hurts you, which doesn't even automatically put her in the position of the betrayer since she might have meted out to you an equal but non-proportional portion of your toxic act against her after exhausting her tolerance, doesn't automatically mean that all women will hurt their husbands in the same measure, especially unprovoked.

And my opinion is that it is a generalization even for Yoruba women. It was probably from a folklore or ancient story where a woman couldn't stomach a secret...and then it became written in the culture. That doesn't make it law or a standard for all women.
