How about if APC and PDP zones presidential tickets to the southeast, do you think all these violence will stop?
What exactly do you think Nnamdi Kanu is interested in? True federation? Cessation? Or just politics?

2019 election, Nnamdi Kanu urged his people to boycott the election yet we all know how that turned out.
The voters turnout in the 2019 presidential election in the south east was low. PDP had more votes in the south west than the east, even though they lost in the south west.

Boko haram said they want total Sharia in the North still yet the govt. negotiated with them. So I see no reason why they can't negotiate with Igbos too

Igbos is still a more reasonable group than Boko and ISWAP. I've been to all the south east state, and with what I saw with my eyes, IPOB has a lot of followers. The more people are killed, people will keep on getting angry the more.

Gentlemen
We have finally seen the actions of an IPOB / BH/ sympathizer in our midst . We are told to negotiate with some one who called Yoruba people cowards and slaves, who called IBO people idiots and lacking in common sense for having Yoruba people as friends .Nnamdi kalu has never hid his hatred for Every ethnic group in Nigeria , including IBOS who don't share his racist vision .
BABA OWEN has finally revealed in his own words who he really is do not be deceived like DONALD TRUMP He has a twisted bigoted closed minded personality whose main goal is to come and laugh gleefully at every set back that NIGERIA suffers.
He does not want NIGERIA to improve he wants the destruction of Nigeria.
Do not be deceived by not answering / or ignoring his racists tweets he will share pictures daily on any misdeed that happens because that is who he is next he will tell you he is a Yoruba man he is not , he is just a con artist who has nothing better to do than to come with the latest woe betide me story
It would not surprise me if he is a card carrying member of IPOB , WHO CARES ANYWAY ?
Good luck to him .
Gentlemen he is on this thread to stay .
Today/ Tomorrow/ The day after.
Expect the deluge to continue.
Ignore him .
Very soon he will tell you BH is a charity organization and Shekau is Father Christmas.

Nigeria's extreme internal security issues have an external dimension, I'm convinced of it. Are there links between ESN and Ambazonia agitation in Cameroon for instance? Our weak almost none functioning police service situation does not help and as a matter of priority, in the order of combating terrorism, needs revitalising.

Much of Nigeria's insecurity issues regardless of influence would me mitigated by a working police force. Imagine the good a police force capable of carrying out both internal and external investigations as part of their remit, would do for Nigeria.

Truth be told, even as young as i was then, i could see the futility in negotiating with mend and violent groups. i new it was a premise for bigger problems in the country. Now it seems to be big and wealthy in the country, just fight the government on a moderate scale and you are called to be given contracts and pay off.

About the mid to late 2000s during the Niger delta conflict, there was this particular militant, one of the top militants then, i don't want to mention names, was meeting with a niger delta governor on a regular basis......i will sit with this militant, we would buy drinks for ourselves, watch big brother then, ini edo, face, Tony tetula and lots of show biz people would come to see the militant.
Sometimes they will form attachment, with us, thinking we can influence the militant, not knowing we were just doing our little work.
I wrote a report them, the best way to stop any insurrection in Nigeria, beat the group mercilessly with overbearing force, assassinate the heads, cut off the source of funding.....then address the root cause of the issues and address it holistically.
Those were fun days sha, but ashawo will be the fall of men, especially militants.
If the FG assassinate Nnamdi Kanu, things will get worst.

The government keeps making the mistake of thinking they can use force to solve every problem.

The people keep making the mistake of fighting government thinking they can ever defeat government. Last last the area will be destroyed and the people will mellow but the damages that would have been done will be irreparable.

The youths of Southeastern Nigeria do not know what they are getting themselves and several other innocent people into and the elders have refused to caution them.

The people of Southern Cameroon are starting to question why they supported the idea of Ambazonia in the first instance. The economy of the region has been destroyed, no development, schools closed down for years, and several people displaced living in refugee camps with no hope of a better future.

And then IPOB should by now know that running to social media to accuse the army of genocide and other allegations won't help them.

Three months after the issue at Lekki toll gate, no foreign government or international organization has punished or even condemn the government. This isn't about supporting the government but letting us know that it is impossible to defeat the government.

I know so.it will just lead to people believing more in the Biafra agenda and more violence and killings from both side. And this will surely affect the economy of Nigeria.

All this things can be averted with negotiation.

What exactly does IPOB want? We need to know that before any negotiation can begin.

Is it cessation? That isn't negotiable.
Is it restructuring? They should demand their representatives and senators push for it in the national assembly.

If it is about other things, you can state them and we can discuss here.

LOL, you underestimate "government". They don't even need to assassinate or make him disappear if they are serious, the government of the country he is living in will do the job if Nigerian government wants and is willing to pay the price. There are several ways to go about it and one of them is the country arresting and jailing him on trumped up charges.

Either the government or ESN is doing IGG (initial gragra), it is better to seperate the sinners from the innocent so as to avoid stories that touch. When SUNDAY IGBOHO was doing his own some days back, i,was,at peace because i know it will be,very hard, for innocent yoruba or any other ethnic nationality to get caught in the cross fires of either the government or the activists. Sadly however, same cannot be said of this current events in the EAST where the NA is,wary of nearly every youth and ESN also without provocation has declared a war on the state(nigerian). As a future applicant for the armed forces, i seriously wish and hope it doesn't degenerate any further because with the little time i have spent in EAST since december , i can say that they are easy going and peace loving. Lastly, i think its about time EASTERNERS learn to differentiate between an OJUKWU and a NNAMDI, where the former declared cessation and dared the FG to a war, the latter is busy causing insurection and running uppandan. Know who values you and fights for you. SUNDAY IGBOHO did his without this much deaths and bloodshed, and we hope the resolutions and resolves made last long and end the herders/farmers crises. GOD BLESS THE EASTERN , WESTERN, SOUTHERN AND ABOVE ALL, CENTRAL NIGERIA.

It's as easy as getting a very seductive lady, to slip something into his drink, just before he goes for a drive, it just doesn't need to be very traceable in his autopsy. Couple of years back i got very close to some girls a very prominent militant was moving about with, i wonder what those girls would do, for a government guaranteed favoured, or couple of 0s figures.

A police officer attached to the Osun State police command, Corporal Fawale Rauf, has allegedly been beaten to death by officials of the State Security Service (SSS) in the state, IgbereTV reports.

The deceased, who was serving at the Dada Estate Police Station, Osogbo, died on Sunday afternoon, January 24, at the Osun State Teaching Hospital, where he was being treated after the beating.

IgbereTV gathered that Corporal Rauf reportedly had a quarrel with the DSS officials, who later invited him to a joint in the town on Thursday, January 14.

When he got to the joint, the DSS officials were said to have descended on him with objects like rods and sticks. They beat him into coma and left him unattended to.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the story but declined further comments.

Some Nigerians have called for justice to be done on the matter.
