The worst part of Nairobi is still better than Ghana.

Ghana can only compete with 2% of Nairobi that is occupied by slums.

Kenya inches close to universal access with budget proposal for 2021.2021
- 2.4m new connections - taking it to 9.6M metered connection (Ghana has 3-4m) - 2.5m household is another 10million kenyans to be connected.
- Power generated to double to nearly 7,000mw


A further 3,003 public facilities that include schools, trading centres, health centres, water points and administrative offices have also been marked for connection.

The State will construct 3,082.9 km of transmission lines, 37 transmissions and 45 distribution substations that will boost stability of the power distribution.

Over 7.2 million households are already connected to the subsided power that is funded by the World Bank, the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Kenyan government.

Ghana is Already at 95% Access as we missed universal access by 6% in 2020
