Olalekan Adetayo, Abuja

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has signed the Coronavirus Disease Health Protection 2021 which made the use of face masks in public places mandatory among other measures to curtail further spread of COVID-19.

The Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, told journalists in Abuja on Wednesday that the President signed the document on Tuesday.

He said the President signed the document in the exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 4 of the Quarantine Act, Cap. Q2 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2010.

Part 2 of the regulation stipulates that no person shall be allowed within the premises of a market, mall, supermarket, shop, restaurants, hotels, event centres, gardens, leisure parks, recreation centres, motor parks, fitness centre or any other similar establishment “except he is wearing a face covering that covers the nose and mouth, he washes his hands or cleaned the hands using hand sanitiser approved by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, and his body temperature has been checked. Any person found to have a body temperature above 38 degrees Celsius shall be denied entry and advised to immediately seek medical attention.”

Part 1 which deals with restrictions on gatherings stipulates that at all gatherings, a physical distance of at least two metres shall be maintained at all times between persons.

It added, “Notwithstanding the provision of Regulation 1, no gathering of more than 50 persons shall hold in an enclosed space, except for religious purposes, in which case the gathering shall not exceed 50% capacity of the space.

“All persons in public gatherings, whether in enclosed or open spaces, shall adhere to the provisions of Part 2 of these Regulations.”

Part three, among other provisions, stipulates that persons confirmed to have tested positive to COVID-19 by an NCDC accredited laboratory, may not refuse isolation and or admission to a designated health establishment for management of the disease .

Part four which, deals with penalties, stipulates a fine or six months imprisonment or both for violators.

It read, “Any person who contravenes the provisions of these Regulations commits an offence.

“Any person who, without reasonable cause, contravenes a direction given under Parts 1 and 2 of these Regulations commits an offence.

“Any person who, without reasonable cause, obstructs an authorised official from enforcement of these Regulations commits an offence.

“An offence under these Regulations is punishable, on summary conviction, by a fine or a term of six months imprisonment or both in accordance with Section 5 of the Quarantine Act.”

Part 5 which deals with enforcement and application read “Personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Federal Road Safety Corps, the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, and other relevant Local Government, State and Federal Government agencies are hereby directed to enforce the provisions of these Regulations.

“Any officer of the enforcement agencies who fails, neglects, or refuses to enforce the provisions of these Regulations shall be subject to disciplinary action by the disciplinary body of his respective agency.”

I am interested in the documents. I hope they are not going to make COVID19 vaccination compulsory? I have the right to reject the vaccine that I have weird feelings about.
There is something fishy about the way World leaders and Bill Gates are going about this COVID 19 vaccine.
The death rate for COVID 19 in Nigeria is still less than 2000 in the past one year but according to WHO, Malaria kills more than 30,000 Nigerians every year.

Why have they not found vaccine for malaria? I am not saying COVID 19 is not real, but it is not our priority in Nigeria and Africa.

This has been enforced in many smaller African countries since last year.
This has been enforced in UK, USA and hundreds of countries all over the world and their citizens simply follow the orders without making any issue or noise about it.
(Some countries are even advocating for double masking right now!)

It is just for you to protect your lives, your family, your loved ones and other people out there.
But in Naija, some enemies of progress must wail.
What a country, well no one is forcing you to protect your lives. You have a choice not to.

Addendum:
In saner climes, the youths of those nations see this as a good business opportunities, most are becoming millionaires through this face mask ventures alone, cashing out and smiling to the banks every day,
We have a big opportunity to make money with our population, but unfortunately the only advantage they use their population for is to be tribalistic and do tribal
fights 365 days of the year (their politicians have succeeded in making the youths lives that way since independence), in our darling country, some youths only lie down on their lazy butt on their couch at home complaining from morning till night without doing something positive for their sorry lives.

We always thank God for the few sane, honest and hardworking youths that will see a golden opportunity in this initiative.

(This is one of our several streams of income @ since the middle of last year)
It cost you between #30-40 to make and you sell it for #100, that is between 60-70% profit per one face mask,
Now multiply that with One million people out of the over 200 million population we have.
But no, they rather wait for some Maga to pay dem one day while lying their butt at home doing nothing, making cash going out everyday is too tedious and tiring for them.
All they want is a sudden windfall from a MAGA
one day from God knows where!
They only see negativity in EVERY issue, nothing but NEGATIVITY!
Shaking our heads!

Below are youths in Ghana, Mozambique, Benin Republic producing face mask, utilizing the opportunities starring them on the face.
What is supposed to be a very good news about the President making this compulsory so that they can produce millions of facemask which takes an average of 6 mins to produce one, is now what is making them wail and cry. LAZY BUNCH!

The truth is not bitter, just that people are bitter to the truth! cool
We will keep hitting your heads with the truth as much as we can.

Coronavirus is real guys, protect yourself and your family members.

#MaskUp.

MansoryMX:

A 15yrs old boy died from it here in Warri yesterday. He was rushed to several hospitals, all directed his parents to Oghara teaching hospital after checking him. All these while the Little fella have been coughing for days to a point he coughed so much blood. Only God knows the number of people he must have infected in the process. It was at Oghara teaching hospital they confirmed it’s covid19, they tried their best for days but he couldn’t be saved, he gave up the ghost yesterday. I cried so badly coz I love the kid so much. You coming here saying this rubbish, I feel like strangling you to...

Ebenezar2O2I:
shut up.
This is a clear symptom of tuberculosis and not COVID-19.
The useléss oghara hospital has been compromised by the government.
You're a layman with zero knowledge in the medical field that's why I'll excuse your sheer ignorance and gross stupidity

MansoryMX:

Ignorance is a killer disease. Same mouth you just use in insulting me! You will use in insulting your father and your mother before the end of this year! Mark my words!
Stop letting all these kids annoy you please.
Leave them alone if they don't believe the virus exists.
Just continue protecting yourself and your family.
Leave them alone and stop letting some kids get you mad. Let them believe what they want to believe.

As for me not wearing any face mask
Good for you....atleast you make sense more than the ones intentionally lying to themselves up there.
(He is almost 80 years old, the same age of all of you put together!
So if you don't want to put on a face mask cos you said he doesn't wear one, una problem, some Americans that said the same thing about their immediate past President are now 6 feet underground while Donald still plays golf every weekend lounging. )

It's your life jor.
No one can force you to wear any mask on your face.
Continue chopping the life of your head jare,
In Wailers voice : 'Bubu is looking for ways to make us suffocate and not breath properly, no mind am'.

At this point, you pity them.
You realize that they need prayers.
They hate everything good.
They hate anything uplifting.
They hate their country.
They hate anything to keep them and their families safe from the deadly virus.
They even hate themselves.
