Tuchel vary his formations and is not known for sticking to one particular formation, he used 3 at the back while he was at PSG and Dortmund. If Kovacic and Jorginho stays fit they will fit perfectly against teams who will sit back, I wouldn't like Kante to pair with either of them in a two-man midfield it will be too sterile. Against teams who are likely to come at us a midfield 3 of Jorginho, Kovacic and Kante will be good for a start

I don't watch much Ligue 1, but from the UCL matches I watch PSG play, I don't think I've seen them play 3 at the back.

One thing I note from this first match is, TT is an attacking minded coach and I love that. He can easily play 4-2-4 when need be.

One of the biggest criticism of TT is that he tweaks his formation far too much than necessary. Even as far as deploying 5 different formation in a single match. So no concern there as regards rigidity.

Infact the other day, I was reading a stat where it was said that the most a single player has ever played for him is 78% in a season - And this includes the likes of Neymar, Mbappe and all the superstars he's ever coached

One advantage he does have over Lampard is he tends to rely more on team play than personnel

Just like for every Chelsea manager, talks of sack is always in the media when things are not going very well, but with winning Europa and qualifying for ucl, you will have to do more convincing for me to believe that the board was considering to sack him.

1st half : Some painstaking, uber patient build up, you would think that they were playing in slow motion.

2nd half: Improved performance, we didn't just rely on cross and nod, we tried playing in between the lines, passed the ball faster and the hunger to win the ball back quickly was evident. Havertz could have won it.

Best player I think was CHO, his best game so far. He is just missing that final decisive pass to up his game but his work ethic has definitely improved.

Chiwell definitely struggled and good to see we had a manager who actually reads the game.
Ziyech didn't do much and was not surprised he got substituted.

Tuchel failed to win his first match (not happy about that at all) but surely everyone can see the improvement.
Looking forward to the next match.

I actually liked the boy before we signed him and i believe he would develop to become a great player. For now he is not ready mentally and physically for Epl.
